Just wondered how long it has taken you to get £250 worth of points???
Wish I had that many
I managed to get £150 points in about 3 months, but I was spending far more than I would have normally and was buying stuff that wasnt really that useful. I am not letting my points build up like that again tho. I bought the camera that was £200 reduced to £100 and some baby clothes.
There have been a few scares of people losing their points and I spent them all again after being challenged with the Huggies MOC, maybe Im being over cautious and I know lots of you have benefitted from the nail files etc but unless there is something I am planning buying quite soon then I dont see the benefit to spending cash to get equal amount of points (in effect savings yet, but not if your points vanish) unless its an item you can do something with and I have nobody to give nail files to.
I was getting a bit carried away with glitches but added up my receipts and thought, god I could have just put that £50 I spent today into a savings account and at xmas could have got prezzies from somewhere else rather than a pile of the same old toiletries!
Im now trying to have self control and only get what is actually a good offer and what I actually need, no point spending time getting stuff that I dont want or need and drawing unnecessary attention to myself. I now make lists and try to stick to them, buying too much other bits to hide glitches soon adds up and takes the saving away.
Great at the moment with the 2 till spilts and mitchelin, free points on the free time delay and next to nothing TS, cant go wrong with these!!0 -

quote=aMeLia'S~MuMMY;13396519[Tiara the mascaras I think are a national reduction as they are not on a reduced stand they are on normal stand with 'proper' No7 reduced label, just like when the lipliscious wee reuced a while back , so might be worthwhile getting them price checked. My store was sold out completely:mad:I checked in our local store, and they were completely sold out. The SA said it is old stock and they are no longer stocking it. She said they are reducing it to clear it off. She said they were getting new and better mascaras. She did say I could try again Monday to see if they had any stock in.I know why people shoplift, it was a tongue in cheek remark about Boots.;)

Scotsmum, I totally understand where your coming from!!!
Im lucky enough to have 5 sisters! I am planning to give them all gift baskets of boots goodies and bogofs, for christmas and birthdays!! I have a massive family, and birthdays at least twice a month, and in christmas stockings for the kids santa always includes a battery powered toothbrush, usually with some sort of cartoon carachter on it!! I am trying to cut costs down and If I am able to use the glitches in boots to fill baskets and stockings, i feel im on to a winner! I usually spend around £15 on each sister which works out at £150 per year on birthdays and xmas and around £10 on my neices and aunties!!! so that is another £200.
Shocking i know.......but all these people buy presents for my children (i have 4) And its nice to give something back!!! So i put deod, shampoo, conditioner, nail polish, bubblebath, shower gel, and a bit of makeup in their baskets...sometimes a giftvoucher aswell!!! I have been costing out the prices and they are coming in well below £10 for each basket with the glitches so I am saving money!!! I will only buy something in boots that will be used....ie the lynx Dh uses it as does DS1, The files are used by myself and my sisters....(no point in giving a file to a nail biter!!) Nappies are always welcome by one of my sisters as she has recently had a baby.....they are not going to go to waste in his christmas box...(he gets a box, as he is a new addition to the family!!):jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -

A great point Scotsmum
This is the only danger with bootsing-e.g. the JK nail files are great to buy because they give you £5 in points but unless you're going to use them or would normally spend £4 on two nail files, you've just wasted £4. Whenever I see a glitch I have to try really hard to think "do I need this or could I use it as a present?"
the best glitch for me at the moment is the TS one as I love their shampoo anyway so I am stocking up. it has also let me get four presents for people which were worth about £15 each which normally I wouldn't think to buy due to cost. These are the real money-saving boots glitches.Remember to always be yourself-unless you suck. Joss Whedon0 -

Sounds lovely, I made up hampers last month for my little sisters birthdays and they were delighted with them, lots of layers of pink tissue dividing layers and all the pieces nicely arranged, I got a frame as well and put a photo ion and wrapped it all in cellophane with a huge bow, will try to load a piccy is can work out how!
Most of the items were from boots, shampoos, No7, toiletires, gift sets etc and a few other bits and bobs I picked up.
I do plan on doing the same at xmas (as long as I get different items for my sisters) for my sisters, mum, gran, and couple of other relatives. Just have to be careful not to get to the stage of, Oh thanks MORE toiletriesor the let me guess what my prezzie is
Im really looking forward to the 75% off online sale after xmas again tho.0 -
