I've been using fragrance free and the powder fresh. Maybe the irritation is unrelated. It's not all over, just in one spot, so maybe I managed to do something else that caused it. Not prone to rashes or irritation so I thought maybe it was the mitchum. I will revert to dove or avon until the irritation clears up, then give mitchum one more go.
How wierd...i'm super sensitive and can only use mitchum! Mind you...only ever tried the fragrance free

Ooooooh that's good to know. Did this go through ok? No beeps?

Yes it beeped, but, i expected this as this vcher has always beeped.
Boots was very busy... so i took a chance that they wouldn't take the time to read, as a long line of peeps usually forms. The young SA had to go and get someone in authority...by the time she came back...yes there was a mass of peeps waiting to be served........this seems to always work!!!!!

    Jax xx:T :T :T :D

You should have been able to get a gift set (gwp) with the tan maintainers as the till recognises the spend before the bogof kicks in. Did you not pick one up or did the sales assistant not give you one? You have to be a bit crafty and pick one up and put it in your basket (if they're not out of reach behind the counter that is - don't want to get anyone in trouble !) I know that one of the stores where I 'shop' keep them 'out of reach' !

Too true, don't ask, just shop around like you know what you're doing, pop your items and a gwp into your basket, then go to a till -- AWAY from the no7 counter! Just browse the shelves if a No7 sa is watching you, and wait until she is occupied to casually pick up the gwp and go elsewhere. This is because the no7 SAs are more likely to say you haven't met the minimum spend (even if you know the till thinks you have!).

Do you think it would be worth going in and asking about the free gift?

I wouldn't. They would (rightly) point out that you hadn't spent 20 quid. Then you'd have to explain that you could've gotten it because the till would've been tricked into thinking you'd spent 20 by the bogof offer, which would be an awkward thing to explain. And they'd probably tell you it shouldn't do that and thus you still can't have the gwp. You basically have to slide it through when you make the purchase -- and don't ask if you can have it, just put it down to be scanned. Maybe make sure it's under the no7 stuff so they'll scan those items first, because the till will beep if what it thinks was 20 of no7 items hasn't been scanned yet.

I've *never* had a problem getting a gwp through using a BOGOF glitch if I went to tills away from the No7 counter. Someone at the main tills or the photo counter has no idea what the minimum spend is to get a no7 gwp, and they probably don't care as long as the till accepts the item without beeping. If you really want the gwp, I'd try again -- and if they tell you no, you can always leave the items. :)

Bebebelle - I use that Olay regenerating cream wash, I've got super sensitive skin and it's one of the few things that doesn't bring me out in spots. So I will be stocking up! (I'm not quite sure how it works given palice's fab advice on this thread though.. it's got about 5 or 6 types of alcohol in it )

Aww, nice to be recognised :o:D Just to mention about the regenerist, it does have a few types of alcohol (stearyl, cetyl and denat.) but the first two are benign as far as skin is concerned - they're fatty alcohols and are used as emollients/conditioning agents (cetyl in its forms is the main ingredient of almost every conditioner) so don't worry. Alcohol denat. is a bad one but it comes quite far down the ingredients so it isn't a problem for non-sensitive skin, especially in something washed off after a few seconds. Also a side note, the warming effect you get on wet skin isn't any kind of benefit to skin, it's just a exothermic reaction (science talk for generates heat) which it has with water, a kind of fancy gimmick if you like. Still it's a good cleanser, I have some myself!

I managed to get the 750 points PC mailing when you buy any 2 Clinique items, I have never used Clinique but I do like te look of the GWP :p
Congratuations on the baby!! :D (I can't believe she's no. seven!!!) If you want any info on Clinique, what to buy, what to avoid etc. PM me, or I have made a couple of, er, 'interesting' long posts on the subject, about the three step system and about the range in general (ignore the stuff about the GWP, that was about the older ones).
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)
