Are there any Aberdonian Bootsers in the house?
I know there are 2 branches in town (union st and bon accord). Are they both the same size, is one better for clearance, which has more ranges?
TIA!!0 -
Apologies - I am being really thick but am a keen Boots shopper. What's a till spit. Is is when they give you a voucher when you spend a tenner. Is the magazine the free one they give out?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Some great tips here thanks everybody.
A question for you experts. I did a little shop today in my local Boots and picked up a few bargains. I got a till spit for the £5 off which I used to buy a No7 eye make up remover @ £7 so it cost me £2. I wondered after if I should have spent another £13 to get the GWP or would I have needed to spend £18? Would this have worked with the £5 off??
I will try the TS tomorrow as my local didn't have the Long hair range. Which combinations work with the voucher? Can I get a shampoo and conditioner or do I have to get the serum and shampoo??
Can someone explain what is the purpose of thanking for the posts? Is it purely politness?
Thanks. :-)
Firstly i dont know much about the No7, but i am sure someone will be along shortly and be able to explain things more clearly to you.
Secondly, the TS voucher works when you buy ANY product from the long hair range... and ANY product from any other range...
You simply take away the Long Hair product price from £7 and thats what you pay.
And finally.... The purpose of the thanks button is to thank the person for their post if you find it informative.
HTHIt`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

If you had wanted a gwp with the No7, the till spit *does* count toward the £20 you'd need to spend. If you are just looking for a cheap way to get a gwp, you could get (for instance) two no7 anti-aging spf facial suncare products for £10.50 each. They are BOGOF, so you are only charged £10.50 for both even though the till sees it as £21 spent. So you can put a gwp through with that. Then you hand over the £5 off pink voucher, and you only pay £5.50! You can work up other variations based on what products you would actually use. I believe all the suncare, including the lip protection stuff and glossy locks, are bogof right now, so you can figure out a good combo. Just figure out how much the stuff is before bogof and you'll know how much the till will count toward your No7 total spend.
I have bought TS with combos that include the £6.99 serum in the pink bottle along with: straightening balm (blue bottle) or with the brunette glosser. If you buy two long hair products together and one of them is the serum in the pink bottle, the voucher will deduct the price of the serum even if the other long hair item is cheaper. So any combo with serum is a good combo!
Thanking people for posts is to let them know their information was helpful.0 -

Till spit: Pops out with your reciept. At the moment it is £5 off skincare and there is another Till spit or paper voucher(depending on store)that is for £5 off no7/ruby & millie at the moment. The spend needs to be £5 at present to get these.
Magazine is the free to advantage card holders one, the 'Health & Beauty' mag. At the moment that is where the time delay/ TS vouchers are coming from0 -
Manchester Bootsers, the staff in the Market Street Boots have been told by big boss, not to let folks have sachets of Sactuary with the £5.00 voucher .I was told by three different s/a .Why cant all Boots be the same ..it makes me mad:mad: :mad:0

No, you don't get nada when you pay with points.
Today my SA didn't give me a pink voucher, and I innocently said, "Oh, don't I get a pink voucher?" and she said yes, I forgot, and gave me one. So if you are only getting the skincare voucher, it doesn't hurt to politely ask if you get a pink voucher, too, as they may have forgotten, or they may give you one even if the till didn't prompt it.
Another note, how is everyone liking the Mitchum? I've been using it a week, and I've got a slight rash under my arms and wonder if it's related to mitchum? I haven't tried any other new soap, lotion, etc.
Which one you using? I've been using the unperfumed for quite a while and no problems. Is it worth returning them? I brought 2 roll on's and found at home that someone had already opened them and rolled it so product was all over the top!0 -
