Hello all, :hello:I'm just after a bit of advice really. The single Advantage Card machine (there used to be two) in my local Boots store has been broken for over a month so I have avoided doing any big shops; it was finally fixed on Wednesday morning, but by the time I went to use it at about 11.30am it was broken again and the SA was unable to help. I spent just over £34 in my transaction and was obviously unable to use any total spend vouchers.
I emailed CS to complain and the response was that someone in store had confirmed the machine was working that morning and that there has only ever been one machine in my store. I was awarded 200 points, but I am feeling a bit peeved because I would have got 250 points for a £30+ spend if the machine had been working and the implication seems to be that I am lying. Should I respond to the email again or am I just reading too much into it because I'm having a cr*p day?
Thanks.
IT WASN'T IN NORTHWICH WAS IT? tHE MACHINES (2) have been broke now for 1 month, first they said had no paper?? then broke for one whole month, i have complained endless times, no one is listening. Apparntly a CS told me that alot machines around the country are broken (or are they just switched off??).
Further, I am tired of snotty Boots staff, the manager in Winsford branch gave me grief this morning as the 200 points mag td coupon and save £1 on £5 spend is only one per person. I pointed out must be 1 per person per transaction as says one per transaction on it and why should they put this on it if its only 1 per person. This ignorant bi**h just kept saying 1 per person so i just left the stuff on the counter and walked out, who do Boots staff think they are??
I rang CS spoke to manager who says dont know why they wud put that on coupon cos how wud they police it and i cud go to another store and do the same again?? He going have a word but wont hold me breath, i gettin bit sick Boots attitude to customers, like jekel and hide, one day its ok, the next the dragons r out?SIMPLES!0 -

I've been coming on here since Easter time and can't believe that I seem to have acquired stuff to beautify literally every part of myself for pennies, when I would normally have had to shell out loads. In a lot of cases - particularly haircare, it's far nicer brands than I would usually buy!
Hair - Formally looking raggy with a 2 in 1, now well cared for with TS shampoo and conditioner, Umberto Giannini deep conditioner, John Freida frizz-ease and TS serum.
Nails/ hands - formally totally overlooked, now groomed with my JK nail file and No. 7/ No.17 nail polishes and Olay Total Effects hand cream.
Face - formally a soap and water girl, now glowing after make up properly removed with JK wipes, cleansed, toned, moisturised with a variety of products from TD, Olay, No. 7 etc
Body - No more supermarket bath foam when you've got Soap and Glory shower gels and body butters and No.7 anti cellulite balms and tan maintainers.
Make up - far too many lovely No.7, No. 17, Ruby and Millie and Jemma Kidd items to even list, all living in my nice free bag!
This thread and everyone on it are invaluable to anyone wanting to look nice and get a shopping fix while still managing to pay off their debts xx
HILARIOUS!
When I first went on maternity leave and discovered MSE site I thought I was going to be trying to save money by using really cheap make up and toiletries. How wrong was I?!0 -
My thanks buttons have disappeared again
Oh crikey, I'd be lost without mine. I don't know about anyone else but I go through clicking Thanks to every post I read, half because I appreciate everyones input even if it's just a question as often there are others wondering the same thing, but also I use it to keep track of where I have read up to :rotfl: So when I come back on the next day I find where I last used the "thanks" up to and carry on from there lolI get totally lost else! At the moment as you can see, I am still back on page 106 haha

Seen the list of free or nearly free items for £5 skincare voucher but does anyone know what similar items you can get free or nearly free with the R&M/No 7 voucher0

Hi Bootsers! A 'mixed' shop at Birstall Boots today.
NO Mitchum vouchers were allowed because 'not to be used with any other offer'. I did question, a Boots offer was different to a Mitchum offer, but no go. Also, half price Ruby & Millie Metallics wasn't allowed with £5 till spit, as 'already on offer'.
Thought I'd found the one and only Oral B toothbrush, but it scanned at £12.xx.
FED UP!
I went over to the Perfume counter, where lots and lots were being marked down on the SEL.
Stella Sheer £17.50
Burberry Summer £14.00
Cool Water Freeze £12.50
JPG Summer £17.50
Stella Set (spray and 3 refills ) £23.00
Thierry Mughler Star....? (half price tho'!)
Issey Myakai Summer £17.50
DKNY....mens and womens
Sean John Unforgiveable (men) £17.50 (+ deo. stick free)
and lots more!!!
Plenty of Stock, and the Chap on the counter confirmed these prices are on until Monday!
HTH someone!
(what am I doing wrong with the Mitchum?)
