Thanks :D I hope your cold goes shortly!

My boyfriend has been entrusted with opening prizes and post when I am away and I'm still checking my emails for wems every so often.

I get back into Newcastle after 6pm Thursday night. I'll be jetlagged though due to time differences I think and its difficult to sleep on the longhaul flight from Hong Kong to Amsterdam. I'll hopefully be recovered by Friday morning and can then get back into the normal comps routine ;)

Cold is getting better thanks, should be back at work tomorrow. I bet you've missed your bf, but at least he's had some wins to keep him company ;)
Good luck on recovery from the jetlag it's a real bind forcing your body to sleep or not sleep when it wants to do the opposite :D Just break yourself in gently, there are always more comps on the horizon :)
Ive just got home from work & hubby didnt even have a drink waiting for me

Aww hun, that's just no cricket! I hope he realises the error of his ways - help yourself to a lovely hot drink over on the side, we have tea, coffee, hot chocolate (with the sprinkles & little marshmallows if you want them :D), cappuccino, fruity flavoured teas - anything you can think of it is over there :)
    Evening all.
Just been out on my leaving 'do' from work.

Off to bed soon as I've to make a start tomorrow packing up the boys bedroom:eek:

Hey gingerchick, glad to hear you had a fab leaving do - bowling & a curry sounds like fun :) Hope you can find something lovely in Debs' to help you remember them, I'm sure you'll be very missed there!

Good luck packing up the boys' room - I think you are very brave, perhaps you should get them to give it the once over first so you don't find 'anything' you wouldn't want to! ;)
Morning to you all. I've spent the last hour and a half catching up on the other bits of the forum. (Been hit with the Insomnia stick again).
Will pop back in later for a coffee, black, no sugar please.

You poor thing! Not that I advocate misuse of drugs but I do find if I have an exam or a stressful event coming up & I know I won't be able to sleep the night before then I take a swig of NightNurse & I'm out for 8 hours! Your black coffee will be waiting for you over on the side when you walk in :)

Congratulations on successfully completing ACCA's Certified Accounting Technician examinations.'

OMG! WooooHoooooooo! Well done hjb! :j What a fantastic result! You little star! Does this mean you'll be able to do things like erm Forensic Accounting & stuff like that? What does the exam prove that you can do now? Hope it does also mean you get a payrise - happy-dollar-signs-094.gif

Poor Bella ((((((((hugs)))))))) I'm sure all will go well for you hun. keeping everything crossed for you but I bet you won't need it!

I agree with you Ember about the rules *goes red remembering how she posted too early* and hope that the comps ending list stays, despite ejits like me - if we all stick to the rules we all benefit!

Anyhoo, off to do some comping. I'm starting from the last page and working forwards like all the clever compers seem to do. Started last night did 2 and a half hours and only managed 5 pages surprised-003.gif.

  • That coffee was just the ticket Velvetglove. Sorely tempted to help myself to another one but looks like the champagne corks are flying to celebrate hjb's exam results, it would just be too rude not to have a glass of the old champers in her honour, so you'd better pour me a glass of the sparkly stuff please.

    Pud x
  • Just a coffee for me please, the kids are nice & quiet whilst they are having lunch lol

    Afternoon all.

Well done hjb123, bet your pleased.

Well more packing done today, boys bedroom sorted, and no I didn't find anything I shouldn't have, although they are only 8 and 7.:rotfl:

But I could scream at the moment.
We are awaiting the solicitor getting in touch to say the money from exchange of contracts has cleared, this all started on Friday.
I called them about 2 hours ago and the girl dealing with us was on lunch break, and would call us back after 1 o clock.
:mad:We are still waiting for that call.

Can't really do much more, I was gonna go down to the post office and start change of address, but don't want to pre-empt anything, must make sure the moneys gone through.

So thought I'd take my mind of it all and come and have a mooch on here.
