You just send an email as normal from your Pc. If the intended recipient has email acount set up on their phone it is easy for them to pick it up and read it. depending on their tarriff there might be associated GPRS charges0

Also, some providers provide email to MMS. O2 are one of these companies (there might be others) providing @o2.co.uk addresses that will forward any email to you phone as an MMS.
Annoyingly, this is only available if you have O2 broadband and I do not have a phone line. The alternative is to pay for an SMS when a new mail arrives, but I'd rather just check my mail on a schedule over GPRS.
