Ryanair boarding pass printing problem

Having checked in online for my 22:20 flight this evening, I am now trying to print/display my boarding pass.

When I entered my details and clicked on Check In, instead of my boarding pass being displayed, I get a PRINT box, but no boarding pass (also no DISPLAY option). When I click on PRINT, a blank page prints.

The same thing happens when I select REPRINT (as I have successfully checked in).

Does this sort of thing happen all the time and fix itself with time, or should I call them? I still have a few hours to play with before the four hour deadline.

  • I answered my own question, but for anyone else who experiences this, it would appear it fixes itself after a while. Just keep trying!

It happens with me quite often but, like you, I just click back to previous page and then on to reprint. That always works.
  • I think there was a problem with the Ryanair website that was fixed at about 11:20 this morning.

I had been trying repeatedly to check-in and print my boarding pass since 16:00 yesterday. I tried Internet Explorer 6 & 7 and Firefox, 2 PCs (Vista & XP) and two internet connections to no avail. I could not actually complete the check-in screen until early this morning - then exactly as you say - it would not print the boarding pass. Finally, at about 11:20, the boarding pass appeared and printed.

Could not get Boarding Pass to print using Firefox - ended up re-installing drivers assuming there was a problem with my printer!

Used Internet Explorer and it worked fine.

Why can't Ryanair make this clear on their site? Faq's were no help whatsoever. ( Note: I am a Vista user)

Had the same problem this week, if no luck go to Ryanair or their ground handling agent at the airport and explain the situation (with your print-outs). They just re-printed mine, no problem, no fuss, no charge. But don't leave it until the last minute and then complain if there is a long queue and you miss your flight.
  • I was charged £40.00 & nearly missed my flight. I'm confused why such a simple procedure went wrong, and wonder if I have any comeback:

I checked-in online days before my flight.

I saved my boarding pass & emailed it to myself (I don't own a printer).

This is where the trouble began...

Before leaving central London, I tried opening the psd file on 2 separate computers at work. Neither could read the file. There is a separate IT dept at work, so I tried calling them, time was getting tight, and they weren't answering.

My last chance was Gatwick airport. The Ryanair desk directed me to the computers. The file could not be read.

I'de already checked-in so returning to the Ryanair site wasn't an option, where I otherwise would've been able to print the pass immediately, as I duely did with my return boarding pass.

I was one of the last passengers, and Ryanair wouldn't give on their policy of charging the above, for not having my pass.

So 3 PCs, unable to print the psd file. Where does the fault lie?

Do you think this is Ryanair's fault? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Psd is a Photoshop document so no a surprise a internet care wouldn't open it.
Never bother with a help(less) desk ask someone who knows about computers instead.

Many internet cafe's around the world (and maybe some in London )
don't have a pdf reader on their computers but you can always carry a small version on a pen drive, or spend £17 and buy yourself a brand new printer,
cheaper than paying St. Michael £40 :D

As the OP found just wait a few seconds and you'll be able to print no problem.
