Hi all,
Myself and my partner are about to exchange and complete to buy our first home, we are looking into broadband suppliers and are having difficulty understanding when we will and won't be in breach of a BT contract. As I understand it we need a BT line installed for pretty much any BB deal(have already checked and the property does not currently have a BT line) My partner has the Orange Home Max package at her parents house and we have been satisfied with the service we get(also at reduced cost for 8mb as she is an orange mobile contract holder) It seems we would need to install a BT landline at a cost of 124.99 for a 12 month contract and by getting any bb provider we have looked at so far would breach us in contract as they officially "take over" the BT line? Is this correct and if not any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

No not quite correct,
You will need a BT line and yes you will be tied into a 12 month contract with them,
But this don't mean you have to have BB with them, you can use and provider for BB, you will just have to use BT for your calls for 12 months0
