Broadband, Line Rental for Student House!

We are going to need line rental and broadband. I dont know alot about line rental with the connection fee or whatever it is but we only need it to get broadband, i think.
We don't want any download limits with the broadband, but we would consider possibly having sky or virgin in the deal if the price is ok.
I also know most broadband contracts are for 12months, unless this can be avoided or worthwile we would like to end it early as we won't be staying there the following year and only need 9months. But it may still be cheaper to have the yearly contract.
so basically we are looking for the cheapest broadband, who may consider have sky or virgin along with the deal.

so i would greatly appreciate any advice or what others have done in this situation.

Be offer 3 month contract with a 3 month notice period if you want to leave or a get out fee if you want to leave then and their sort of thing..

Entanet resellers also offer 8mb broadband on a month by month basis but it is not unlimited so you would have to try and work out what your usage would be before going with a package.

I like Tiscali, we've been with them a few months with their boradband/phone/tv package. It's really good because you don't have to pay line rental which puts the price up by so much! They also have on demand tv - great for when there's nothing on the box... which is like... all the time...
