Hesitate to suggest this but work has dried up for supply teachers.I know it pays much less but there seems to be a greater demand for TAs (because schools are cutting back on teachers)-you may have well held reasons for not going down this route but it's just an idea.Signing on with some LEAs you get guaranteed paid for training days and payment to scale and pension copntributions.Another idea is to look out for Adult Ed basic skills teaching. QTS qualifies you to teach in FE (although some places argue otherwise) but if you get a post they will pay for training in Numeracy/Literacy/TESOL which will prove very useful.Ads are appearing in the papers round about now

Assaulting the Witness' is a criminal offence in itself - so if they aren't prepared to testify because they have been scared off... it will go against them even more.

I know of someone who did this - they kidnapped a witness to get him not to testify - and it went terribly wrong for them.

I hope you are feeling better :)

  • Thanks again all.

I've just had a terrible thought though. It's something that Skylight has mentioned on another thread. As an ex bankrupt, does having a guarantor mean that that person then has a financial connection with me that could have repercussions on their credit rating?

It's just that having moved into this flat, with having a guarantor, I'd hate for this to come back and bite me!

Please, I hope someone can help as I never in a month of Sundays even considered this.

    Thanks.

Right - had to go and check the guarantor bit! (And posted here too)

An agency will normally credit check the guarantor but will not necessarily link that person to the original debtor. That search footprint remains on that credit file too, and too many searches can also affect credit ratings.
Any joint applications will definitely link the two together.

In your case Storm, its highly unlikely to link the guarantor to you, but you need to check with the agency concerned if they credit check them. Afterall, they need to know the guarantor is "a good bet", another BR being a guarantor is not what they want afterall!.
  • Thanks for the quick reply.

    Much relief.
