Lol. Im glad you're amused Angel! So, can i assume im probably not going to have a day in court or my credit rating ruined for life? Any other people dealt with these Buffoons?
I wasnt laughing at your situation, im sorry if you thought that...I was laughing at Brownbake and his/hers?? unhelpful useless comments and eveyone elses retaliation
You wont have your credit rating ruined for life, all the advice on this thread is good just listen to what people are saying you should do.In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00 :eek:In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T0 -
Nooooo, not at all Angel. I didnt think that! I was genuinely glad you were amused! This whole thread makes me smile reading it back! Its all gone slightly strange! It doesnt make me laugh as much as Intrum chasing me for £8 quid though! I reckon the thirty phonecalls to my mobile, some for many minutes whilst we "chatted", and four letters printed and posted must have come to more than the £8 they claim i owe!
Ive decided to return to sender any other letters i get and just ignore them. They arent having a penny due to their incompetence and rudeness.
I was just worried ill go to move house in a couple of years or something and have my bank manager ring to tell me i owe Intrum £10,000 worth of trumped up charges and interest from the £8 i never paid!
But if thats not going to happen then they can !!!!!! off.
Thanks again everyone for your responses. Keep your Intrum Justicia stories and advice coming!!0 -
I have a furhter question on Justicia...
My original thread was http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=10941295#post10941295
To save you reading it - I bought from someone who was using a hacked ebay account, realised in time to cancel my payment but paypal had already paid the thief on my behalf leaving my account in the red. Also, insult to injury, they found on his behalf in the claim!! Total debt = £345.
Anyway, lots of pointless emails expaining this fell on deaf-pigeon english ears at paypal so just ignored them after a while.
Have since moved house and have my mail on redirect from there - have now had a letter to my old address from Justicia asking for the £345. My questions are:-
1. Shall I even bother contacting them seeing as they don't know my new address? Think they may have my parent's phone number but my dad will probably claim he doesn't know me (he does that a lot) I really can't be @rsed with trying to explain to these people that I'm the victim because they just want their money now they own the debt.
2. Can they impact my credit rating? Most credit checks i have done ask for addresses for the past 3 years so will this claim follow me? I realise that it's not a legitimate claim but if I don't "reveal myself" now and let them try to chase me will this result in anything on my rating once they realise i'm not there?0 -

Hey all,
the saga continues. Ive just received yet another letter saying that basically due to me not answering, they are not going to enter into any more correspondence and my file has been passed to their legal team to decide on a possible court case.
Hmmmm. Should i start getting worried yet? :rolleyes:0 -
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it for £8.
The fact that they have spent way more than that in postage, man hours etc chasing you proves that they are full of s**t and haven't got a clue!!
No doubt they'll carry on sending letters to my old address and maybe they'll even send someone round there but until i see a court document or a bloke with a baseball bat landing on my doorstep i'm not going to worry!
Does anyone know of a website that will allow us to check whether our credit ratings have been affected by this??0
