Brownbake, you’ve NOT contributed anything of use, so why are you posting in this thread?Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -

When my ebay debt was passed to them i had made payment directly to ebay for the fees, as they wanted to charge nearly £70 for them, when the actual fee with ebay was £43. ebay acknowledged the payment that i had made and after 2 or 3 weeks i never heard from this cowboys again thankfully.War does not decide who is right, It decides who is left.0

Hi Nick, ebay acknowledged the payment and freed my account the instant i paid, but it had obviously been passed to these monkeys in the meantime. I told intrum it had been paid but they maintained i owed their fee and pestered me for 3 weeks with two calls a day (which became good fun actually!) They then sent a letter saying they acknowledged receipt of the ebay debt but are still pestering me for the £8 quid they must add on as their commision.
Like i say, the calls stopped when i got more and more annoying, i even used to answer 'Good morning Intrum, yes it is me, and no im not paying. Ever' when i recognised the number before they had a chance to speak! They even rang on the same number, pretending to be someone else and when i said 'your lying, this number belongs to Intrum and your now resorting to lies in an underhand attempt to gain personal information' they hung up!
That was three weeks ago and just as i thought they'd got the message and had become sick of me being a pain, i got another letter yesterday with more threats.
Hence the post asking what these goons can actually do. Ive searched the net and some of the stuff reported about this company is unbelievable!
Thanks again for all your replies / assistance.
