who keeps calling me!

002017 - this number has rung my mobile 8 times a day since monday...its not even a full phone number that comes up..when i dialled 1471 it said 002017 called today,it was an international call

my mobile number is new and i don't have any friends abroad so cant work it out,
anyone got any ideas please..ive tried google etc and nothing comes up

I had some calls on my mobile which just ring twice and then stop.They hope you are going to call them back,and they make money from it.

Just googled 002017 and it comes up as Eastcom Peace Smartcard Co. They deal with sims etc. Could it be (bearing in mind I'm not that technological), that your new phone has one of their sims and it has automatically phoned home, thus informing the company that it is in use? Just a thought

I had something like that on the landline, it was out of area which usually means international. It was flaming annoying as it would ring for a few times then call off whenever I managed to reach the darn thing...............I was getting mega annoyed with it. One day I managed to catch it and it was flippin BT!!! :mad:

Apparently some companies use a repeated dial thing, so it will keep on ringing until you answer it :rolleyes: Wouldn't mind but that number is on the TPS system to stop cold calling, but obviously BT make themselves immune to that! :rolleyes:

Last night and tonight, around 6 or 7pm, we had a telephone call, and when answered - NOTHING -

When we 1471'd it, the number is 01234 56788. I cant find out what this is all about. Does anyone know, or can throw any light on it, please ?

All I know is that 01234 is a Chichester area code.
