i cant tell you how long it will take but 2 hours isnt a bad thing just leave it going and avoid doing anything on the pc
are u doing the right thing? i could argue alot about defragging but if it gives ur pc a new lease of life go for it
if ur running windows that has its own defragger btwThe orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0 -

What may give you a far greater boost is Page defrag. It consolidates the pagefile (virtual memory). I've seen PC's with 768Mb pagefiles in over 1000 fragments before. The improvement is remarkable.
I unzip it into a folder in the Program Files folder and pop a shortcut somewhere handy. If the page file is large and fragmented it too can take ages. It will run on your next reboot so best to plan for it."Hey, if love is blind, how come lingerie is so popular?" Cochrane. P673 TNG.0 -
But unless you have a fixed size pagefile, it'll only end up fragmented again the next time its used.0

I thought I'd give Defraggler a go as well, still churning away after a couple of hours,at 37%. So decided to abort the run.
Then ran Auslogics defrag, which i already had which did the job in minutes, oddly enough.
You may want to try it

I got Defraggler to go fast by doing the following -
- Go to the list view and check all files
- Sort the list by filesize and uncheck some of the big files (Defraggler seemed to be getting stuck on files over a GB)
- Now you should see Defraggler churn through the defrag very fast.
- Next click Advanced > Defrag Freespace (allow fragmentation)
- When it's finished run Defraggler again. It should be able to go through your big remaining files relatively quickly
