Freeview box but no picture

IT worked!!! I just hadn't tuned the channels in properly, thanks for that advice. Now got 40 channels, most utter rubbish but hey it works.

Thanks all for your advice for numpty me.

Have you got a link to this news story that states some pre 2006 boxes are goin to stop workin ?
Just that my Dad has just phoned with the same problem as the original poster!, says he tried 2 boxes and both not working but they not on the list of older boxes.

The list of boxes affected is definitely not complete and I suspect many many more freeview boxes than freeview are letting off are affected. One example is a Ferguson model not on the list. I personally think this is disgusting, plus add to that the fact freeview is making money on calls from concerned people. Utterly disgusting.

All I can say is my Ferguson FDT500 is not working.

All it will be is that you haven't auto tuned it now you've moved, as it'll be a new transmitter and different frequencies.
It should be very easy to do, just go to menu - system/settings.

I notice that Panasonic aren't on the list of affected boxes but ours is completely scrambled since a rescan last week.

I have BBC 3 on Channel 1, News 24 on 2 and BBCi on 5 ! The screen is blank for a lot of other channels. What fun :mad:

I have not seen any mention of Panasonic Receivers being affected.

I guess Panasonic should be added to the list 'cos I have two that are now useless, only one currently being used though.
