Problem with getting o2 home broadband on my new line

Hi,
I'm having exactly the same problem. We only moved in on Friday however, and took the same number as the previous owners. For the first few hours of the line being active for us, the O2 website said 'Hurrahh! You can get our services' but now when i want to order it only offers me the Access package. On Be's website, they say they don't recognise my number, and that once i've activated the line, i can "come back for the leudicrously speedy broadband".
Hope they update their database soon, been told by an O2atrian that it can take upto 72hrs to update.0 -
Hi
I've seen on the main site that's it's possible to get broardband from O2 for £10 & I quote, "Simply pick up a free sim* and top up by £10 every three months to qualify for the cheap broadband"
Is there anyone out there who has done this & if so can you let me know how it's done please

Uhm, you top up by £10 once every three months on your mobile phone that is on the O2 network and you receive 3x£5 monthly discount from your broadband bill. What is it that needs explained? £7.50 for 8Mbps, £10 for 16Mbps and £12.50 for 21Mbps.
Oops, reread your post. You're talking about £10 per quarter. Ignore my above.0 -
I've been having an identical problem with o2 and it's driving me absolutely insane...especially as I was assured that the problem would be sorted by today latest and that someone would call me to confirm...so far, neither has happened....gggrrrrrr.
It's basically a fault with o2, *not* BT - one of their departments is faulty, but the sales department hasn't picked up on this. When they'll actually get round to fixing said fault is anyone's guess...until then I'm paying for a landline with no broadband?!
As for o2 deals, if you were lucky enough to get one of their "birthday" vouchers (each store was given 10) you can theoretically get broadband free for 12 months....because BT hasn't activated it in my area as they were supposed to, I'm paying £10 a month instead of £22.50....or I will be when the broadband actually works!0
