Cheap flights to germany?

Hi,
I booked on Saturday for me and my Mum to go from Manchester to Bremen 14/12 - 17/12. For 3 nights and hotel it's cost £137.50. We used Ryanair and the flights were free we just payed for taxes etc (looks like we'll have to pay extra for some checked baggage if we're gonna be doing a lot of shopping!) We decided to stay at the central Ibis -can't go far wrong with a chain and it's easier to get money back if things go wrong! BE AWARE OF ALL THE NEW CHARGERS ON RYANAIR! It's just a short tram journey from airport to centre so that should be easy too. Good luck!:j0 -

Arranged a party of ten from Liverpool with Easyjet to Cologne last December. Stayed at Best Western Hotel Ascot for £250 per couple, room and Breakfast, for three nights.
Hotel is just outside city centre and was excellent.
Cologne has five Christmas Markets and is a wonderful venue.Neil0 -
Ryanair Stansted to Frankfurt Hahn = £20 per person return. Just take hand luggage, book in online, use a visa electron card.
stay in a local hotel through www.booking.com around 60 euros for a decent
double.
Book a hire a car online from the airport roughly £60 for 2 days.
Go to Xmas markets in Trier, Bernkastle Kues and others long the Mosel.
Perfect!:D0 -
Lübeck has quite a large Xmas market and there are a lot of other shops there as well. You can fly with Ryanair direct to Lübeck (or "Hamburg-Lübeck") from Stansted for 15 pounds. The local bus into the city from the airport is something between 1 and 2 Euros.
Although I am not a fan of Xmas markets in Germany many have told me the market here is really good.0 -
Have you tried checking Air Berlin's prices? I flew with them earlier this year (my first ever flight!) and thought they were great. I don't know about Christmas, but they've got some cheap flights in October, as I was looking last night.0

Yes, I went on Air Berlin to Hannover last year, great airline, great market, hotels good value, not much to do on a sunday if the market is closed so check first.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Loved the christmas market in Munich if you can come up with a good fare for that. I flew with BA, booking well in advance and I recall it being very reasonable.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0

The key with these Ryanair airports is not to attempt to go into Dusseldorf; that's just what they'd expect you to do...
Its only €2.10 to get the bus into Weeze. I have to confess, I know nothing about Weeze, but I'm sure it's a perfectly pleasant town and there is some info here:

I lived in Weeze for 6 years when Weeze airport was RAF Laarbruch and it is a pleasant town. The nearby towns of Goch, Kleve and Kevelaer are bigger and more interesting but to be honest, the best Christmas markets were 100's of miles away in Bavaria.0
