Hi
Want to go for a couple of days to one of the christmas markets in germany so any ideas of cheap flights please for 2 adults and one child? Ryanair have some cheap flights to Dusseldorf (Weeze airport) but when you add in the 60 euros return (by bus or train) to the city it bumps up the cost quite a lot. Prefer to fly from Birmingham but dont mind elsewhere...
Thank for any help

The key with these Ryanair airports is not to attempt to go into Dusseldorf; that's just what they'd expect you to do...
Its only €2.10 to get the bus into Weeze. I have to confess, I know nothing about Weeze, but I'm sure it's a perfectly pleasant town and there is some info here:

I have recently booked for 7 of us with Jet2 from Leeds/Bradford to Dusseldorf for Xmas markets. Not particularly cheap though - £91.71 for those with checked baggage and £79.73 for those just with hand baggage. (This includes fuel supplements and cc fee but not seats or insurance) This is to Dusseldorf airport, not Weeze."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Be careful with Ryanair, aren't they the ones who have said they will not honour bookings made through price comparison sites? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

DD and I have booked Hamburg from Birmingham on 11 Dec £349.90 including 3 and 1 year old. Flights were in short supply and accommodation was limited. We go somewhere different every year. Dusseldorf ok but like any other modern city - Have done Dusseldorf and Cologne by coach with Midlands pick up - very reasonable prices. Berlin was really good for markets as was Prague.2026 Decluttering and redistribution 377/1526 Major job list 105/500 Total 482/2026 ⭐️

Another thought if you want to go for a few days is a Xmas markets cruise.
Here is one for 7days but does make it a lot more money.
