Is there tannin in coke - if both tea and coke work, then maybe they both have the same 'magic' ingredient.I know they both have caffeine - would that help to cure a dodgy tummy?
I know ginger works for some people for travel tummy or morning sickness.
I think the best thing to do is use the tea leaves to make a cuppa and munch a ginger biccie or two and water the plants or something with the flat coke. ;D ;D0 -
That sounds much tastier better ;D0

I drink flat coke all the time...................gas gives me gas
lol ;D ;D ;D0 -
flat coke doesn't usually cure upset stomachs,
the reasoning behind taking it is that if you are dehydrated and unable to eat, you will feel lethargic and probably have a headache etc. Coke contains water sugars and salts, which will tide you over until you are eating properly again, drinking it flat means that the gas doesn't upset your stomach further,
flat lucozade, tizer etc all work the same way, the diet varieties aren't much good though (no glucose)
This is a useful tip if you are abroad with kids who have upset tummies, at least you know what you are giving them

Flat coke works for me. I did read somewhere that it has to be REAL coke though not supermarket brand. Don't know why.0

The flat coke is good too tho, ive always drunk that in the past.
Tea leaves, god no, if i got one single tea leaf in my mouth, i'd heave! infact i cant drink to the bottem of my tea, just incase ones sneaked in, and i use bags!A clean house is the sign of a broken computer!0
