mobile phone contracts...
Hi people,
Just have a query about my mobile phone contract. I've been with vodafone for ages now and recently (June) got a new phone. I got it for free but I'm now tied in to a 24 month contract.
The phone is ok (SE w890i) but there were a few phones ahead of it that I would have preferred but they wanted money for them that I didn't haveat the time. Anyways, I've come into a bit of money and would like to get a better phone...From looking about recently other networks seem to offer better deals as well. So my question is, how easy would it be to end a contract even though it's relatively new?? Could I send the phone back and give a months notice?
cheers

Hi,
My first post but I worked in a phone shop,
You cannot cancel a contract if you upgraded it as there is no 7/14 day cancellation period but if you got a new number and therefore a new contract you will be able to cancel it up to 14 days.
The only way to cancel otherwise is to pay of the rest of the contract which isn't worth while. Maybe just buy a new phone and put the sim in ( make sure it is unlocked or is on the right network) and sell the old one somewhere like ebay!?
Hope this helps,
