similar question to Kriss' but the other way, has anyone been referred and been allowed what they originally asked for? As for funding in West Mids, the guy I spoke to at Co-op today rang P4P for me and said that they are running a little low but there are no alarm bells ringing that they are just going to suddenly run out. So fingers crossed

Do you know what the outcome usually is if allowed? Does it mean they will offer you the mortgage but a less amount or that the mortgage will have to be over like 30+ years or so?

ive just been speaking to my friend who completed a few months ago. She said that she was referred and they came back with the same that shed offered. They referred her she thinks because they thought she might not be able to afford her monthly outgoings and it was slightly more than she could afford however they let her have it. So all is not lost. Just hope they hurry up, let me have what I need and get funding secured!

Mine was referred on Thursday. I just hope they take into account the house prices because if they offer me something below 60k then thats a waste of time really as I will not get anything for that. I hate this waiting its so frustrating

We applied in April. I thought it was at the beginning of April, but they had us down as having applied on around the 21st.

Well thats interesting that you say you applied on April 21st - I applied beginning of May and should therefore have been contacted beginning of July. I rang them last week and they make the usual excuses i.e. they have no idea when you will receive the letter for the interview. In theory I applied 2 weeks after you, so being in the London area, I would hope that I am on the next 'batch' to be released by PFP. They did tell me they release letters in batches of 800 - 1500 once they have nearly dealt with existing interviews. But the reality of this is that a lot of this waiting time seems to be in an illogical order....one thread earlier in London has been waiting 18 weeks  and still no letter !! Yet you have had interview already and applied late April - does not make sense ! ozzy

Sorry, I don't think I was very clear! We haven't had our interview yet: what happened was that we got a letter at the beginning of this week, which stated that we should call them. The call involved booking our phone interview, which won't be until the week after next.

Initially we were told that we would get that letter after six weeks, then twelve, then fourteen. I think it took somewhere around 13/14 weeks, although I haven't actually calculated it.

I agree about the poster in London who has been waiting for 18 weeks - I saw that and it was rather odd and unfair.

    Hi I'm new on here.

I'm feeling frustrated I registered my interest for the ownhome scheme on the 31st March. I have not even received a letter yet to book the interview. I'm in London and have been told that there should be for a while yet, but it will be 18 weeks next week with no response from P4P. I have phoned on a regular basis to find out when I am likely to get a response but am always told a number of excuses and that "it should be anytime now".

I'm just bleating really but if anyone knows how I can find out where I am in the queue I would be grateful!

    Cheers

    Lynchmob,

I am in the London area too, and am facing the sam problem with getting answers from PFP. I applied beg. of May, but everytime you call they cannot seem to let you know anything. The funny thing is I called them 2 weeks ago and they told me I was 541st on the waiting list - whatever that may mean i.e. nationally or South East or London. :rotfl:When I called them last week for an update on this figure of 541st they said they could not give me any such figure or movement in the 'rankings' !! It is very frustrating - but you have been waiting 18 weeks and the money is running low............not good.
