I'm still lagging slightly behind you guys but have survey instructed and paid for (at long last following much hassling of the co-op!).
I go away tomorrow (camping in the rain!) for a week so hoping I should have the results by the time I get back!
Once i payed for the survey, they were in after about 3 days... They then forward a small version to the co-op next day! Then sending you a larger version 2-3 days after!
So i would chase them the day or two after the valuation and if all is ok, they should process it for offer!
The reason mine got slowed up, was due to the need for getting in a specialist guy to look at the damp in one of the rooms :-(0 -
My partner had his mortgage offer on Friday! Just waiting for the solicitors to do the searches now!!0

For those who have received their mortgage offer from the Co-op - did you have to sign the offer and send it back to them? There is nothing for my partner to sign - just thought this was a little strange?0

Just trying to remember, Have you already signed something for the co-op. I only had to sign one document....This signature was previously violated by my wife, that'll learn me to stay perma logged in.
Fortunately, the offending comments have now been removed - my apologies to all who had to read it and laugh at my expense.0 -
You would have signed the application form, which has the details of the mortgage, therefore no need to sign again - at least thats my view of it0

Yes, he signed the original application form. I was just worried that they'd missed a page off or something lol. Thanks for your replies.0

Hi everyone, it looks like we're at a similar stage to a few of you. We received our final mortgage offer from Co-op last week. I called Ownhome to ensure they had also received our mortgage offer and they confirmed that they had, but they would not even look at it for a minimum of 21 days due a huge back log of work. We were hoping to have fixed dates for exchange and completion as our solicitor has completed all of his work, but it's still going to be a bit of a wait. We're just hoping Co-op have sent the correct information to Ownhome as they sent us incorrect documents 3 times before getting it right!!0

Well were trying to exchange contracts but we're in a long chain so it's been tricky.
Latest is that someone higher up in the chain has a dog and is moving to a managed flat and has to ask permission for the dog to be there...
I hope they are allowed the dog, as it really would annoy me for this to fall through because some dilbert didn't think to check this out earlier. This signature was previously violated by my wife, that'll learn me to stay perma logged in.

We were also told 3 weeks until we receive the paperwork from places for people. Co-op sent my partners mortgage offer to the wrong solicitors and had the wrong telephone numbers on it too. Unbelievable because the first mortgage application had all the correct details on! They seem to be doing this a lot.0 -

I'm glad it's not just us....said in the nicest possible way! It's all getting a bit nerve wracking now as our vendors want to put the property back on the market due to the amount of time the financing is taking...at least, the estate agent is telling us that. I have a feeling someone is desperate for their commission!!0
