Wow that is really quick! My final mortgage offer was sent to P4P on 24th Sept so hopefully I am not far behind u!0 -
Congratulations Playboy :T:T
Good to hear another success story. Thanks for the update Hay-Mcknight its good news to hear as our vendor is apparently starting to get twitchy but not sure whether thats just the estate agent trying scare tactics. Our mortgage offer was received by p4p on 30th sept. So hopefully not long.0 -
I never knew the vendors was on a chain. If I knew I wouldnt put my hopes on this house. Looks like we wont be completing before our mortgage offer runs out on 20th october. I spoke to my solicitor and and EA today and they say our vendors waiting for their vendors comes back from holiday so they can have survey done. Our offer from p4p valid until 17th of november. Can anybody advice anything???0

mary4kids i reckon if you just ring p4p and explain there should be no reason why they can extend the deadline-i mean you've got this far it's not like you're just starting out in the process so im sure they'll understand
have you been in touch with them at all?0 -

Stampchan i know how you feel,
We had been waiting for our contract to arrive since the 25th Sept but due to the postal strikes it only arrived yesterday, i then had a phonecall yesterday from Optima asking why i hadn`t signed the contract and returned it and that i had a dead-line by the 9th October, so tried to explain to them there has been a postal strike and its just arrived.(Not sure if they believved me or not??) I have now returned it special class to them so they have it on their desks monday morning as special class is not affected by the strikes!! So be careful anyone who lives in the south-west zone as postal strikes can and will affect your mail especially if your awaiting those all important documents.
Congrats playboy on getting your keys, :T:j:rotfl:we`re hoping to exchange sometime later next week fingers crossed, we`re on the last stretch now.0 -
Congrats to everyone.
P4P said they got my mortgage offer on the 30 September. Trying to work out how long it’s all going to take now as I have to hand in notices on rental flat.
Also not sure about Insurance’s, flat is leasehold and building insurance is in service charge, I will get Contents insurance but what about salary protection and critical illness insurance?0 -
EA called me today. He says we are completing this thursday or friday latest. We didnt even exchange yet and didnt hear from my solicitor yet. He says vendors mortgage in place now for their new house. Hope so because if we dont at least exchange by this friday they can say bye bye to their buyer as our mortgage offer running out.0

Looks like I'll be loosing my place. Everything is hinging on the valuer calling back the co-op, its been almost a week and he's not bothered to reply. Every time I call the co-op I get 'yes, we know you're waiting but we have nothing to tell you'. They won't give out the surveyors number to me, despite the fact I had to pay this idiot nearly 500 quid. He then made me have a second survey carried out on the drains, and has now decided I might not be allowed the mortgage based on something he knew before I even gad the drains done.
SERIOUSLY annoyed by them now, what so frustrating is there is nobody I can actually see.0
