With regards to the P4P / Ownhome loan agreement. The covering letter says to either return the signed(and witnessed) agreement to P4P, or give it to you solicitor if they want to see it.
If you give it to your solicitor, MAKE SURE THEY SEND IT TO P4P!! as P4P will not let you exchange without sight of your signed agreement.
this may seem obvious in hindsight, but P4P's covering letter is not clear.
Was hoping to exchange this week, but this has now delayed me by another week.
Rant over.0 -
WOOHOO, :j we have had our phone call from P4P and will recieve our paperwork tomorrow hopefully and the cooling off period will start. Its taken under 4 weeks for this to happen, two days ago they were working on the 30th July, ours was the 4th August so they must be working quicker now!!
Giving hope to all those of you who are still waiting.0 -

I wish I saw this before. I sent our agrement papers to solicitor this morning as after I spoke to them they wanted me to send it to them but they didnt even ask who I was. Oh keep saying I should have sent it to p4p directly. Arrrggghhh! I am so stressed.0 -
Your solicitor will send the final signed loan agreement to Places for People. Ours did anyway!
The solicitors marked the bit where my partner had to sign with a cross and wrote "sign" and we sent it back to the solicitors as requested, they just called to say they need to re-send it to re-sign and witness as places for people won't accept it. Solicitors fault now another delay! Cheers!!!0 -

P4P is Places for People, this is the government funded part of the ownhome loan, did you read all the info on the ownhome site?
Places for people is a housing association here is their web site.
I've not seen this site before, just went straight to the one that you get redirected to when you click on 'ownhome'. Good old Google!
Thanks for filling me in!0 -

It seems likely that by the time we speak tomorrow, the money might all be spoken for - is this right? I'm asking because we were right at the front of the queue for MyChoice HomeBuy and were told to start looking for a property, but then the funding was withdrawn. I really don't want to be disappointed again.
Going by what these guys on here are saying it does seem as though those of us that haven't had our interviews yet could be disappointed. But no point in giving up until we know for sure ey?
Would you mind me asking when you made your initial call? Mine was on 10 April and I've still not heard from them and am slightly paranoid that I've been lost somewhere along the line.
Thanks and good luck!0 -
mine also send the paper to pfp. Just make sure to call pfp in couple of days and enquire if they have recived it and also remind your lawyer to send it back to them.I wish I saw this before. Are you in London? if so, then you should chase this up and query it. We are in London, and made our initial call on 21st April (we have since withdrawn from the scheme). But we had our interview a couple of weeks ago, and our letter about a week before that.0 -

Well I'm in Bromley, which is technically Kent but is a London borough so I'm not sure which they'd class it as.
Have chased them again and they've said they'll get someone to call me back - I won't hold my breath!
Thanks for letting me know.0
