in Water bills
Hi all I would like some advice if possible please. I live in a 3 bed end of terrace and my South West water bills are £900 per year
.
There are 3 adults living here so I would say water usage is average. The property was on a meter when we moved in, but I had it changed back because then there were 5 adults living here and SWW advised me that it would not be cheaper to have a meter.
My problem is if I change back now to a meter (already installed) I cannot under the local rules change back again to rateable value.
Need a push in the right direction but don't want to end up paying more. Any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks.

The average consumption for 3 adults is between 150 to 180 cubic metres pa.
You can work out your charges based on the above from here:
http://www.swwater.co.uk/media/pdf/a/1/Charges_Summary_web.pdf
As you have a meter already fitted it will be fairly easy to check your consumption. You should have the reading from the date you reverted back to being charged on your RV.
If not monitor over a week.
Incidentally I am surprised they let you revert to RV when the meter was already installed.0
