Buying a contract through Tesco Mobile

Hello all

I am looking to get a new contract phone (currently on Tesco PAYG). Was looking at Orange and T Mobile etc. I have noticed that Tesco offer exactly the same contracts with the same phones (all free compared to the actual provider not always being free) but they offer a free gift. One of my options is an Ipod Nano.

So my question is, is it any different me buying say an Orange contract through Tesco than going direct to Orange? The price seems to be the same but with Tesco you get a free Ipod.
