    It can be a fixed penalty, but it can equally go to court where it will cost upto £250

  • no mot.. doesn't affect your insurance.. and thats from my mate JIm who's doing law at the mo at Durham, and a copper i know.. and a lady I know who works in an insurance company.... although you will get fined for not having the MOT, unless you're driving to a pre booked MOT test at an authorised centre....
