Free Swim Vouchers

  • Anyone having any more refusals with these? Or is it all going swimmingly?

  • My mam has been collecting the swim vouchers, but our nearest pool is well over 30mins motorway driving away, so they won't be getting used. If anyone wants them, PM me.
  • I had the same problem with Nestle, I've emailed a complaint as their terms and conditions are misleading and false. I travelled 5 miles by bus, to get told NO, these vouchers are not used here. The leisure centre I went to, went bankrupt by £20,000, Nestle do not re-emburse leisure centres of their lost profits, of course I have heard nothing from Nestle and I will never use Nestle,Kelloggs or any free sports vouchers again, seems to me, it is all a big con.

Just a word of warning, some pools seems to be getting greedy.

In our local paper in Norwich, the Riverside lesuire centre has decided to accept these kelloggs tokens only FIRST thing in the morning before 11am and no other time. Why? Because they are losing money, and too many people are taking advantage of the offer!

I think thats disgusting personally, but best ring up before you go in case your local swimming pool decides to play dirty.
  • Our local pool pulled out of the Nestle offer last year and again this year as they were not getting anything out of the deal and were losing money. These offers seem good to start with but are not that good when you try to use the vouchers. alot of places add restrictions as they find they are losing money and many pull out alltogether. I ended up with over 30 Nestle vouchers but nowhere to use them after our local pool pulled out. I no longer will buy Nesle cereal as i feel it was a bit of a con.
  • Our pool has now stopped taking these. I have 84 left as we have been buying the more expensive Kellogg cereals than the own and value brands. Very annoyed, the vouchers are in effect worth between £252 and £403.20 depending on how they are used. I plan to pursue this but would like to hear of anyone else's experiences first.

Surely they can't sell a product with a voucher that becomes useless after they have had your money?

    Take a guess:D

Spoke to swimming pool manager today. He told me the scheme was being abused as people were using lots of them? 200 in a day he claimed. Found a newspaper article that stated nearly 3,000 were used in total over nearly a 6 month period, so 200 a day looks a little dodgy.

They claim that the free swims have cost them £15,000 as Kelloggs pay nothing. A wishful figure that relies on all voucher users haveing had a swim anyway and paid.

But really that's neither here nor there. They signed up for a promotion until April next year then decided that they didn't like people getting 'something for nothing.' How curmudgeonly can you get?

I used them in a hotel pool who after our third time decided you were only able to use them 1x. I e-mailed Kellog's who basically said it is up to the pool.
