I also have to express some healthy scepticism here.
The only “ads” that seem to appear on this website for me are part of Google’s Adsense scheme.
https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_GB/
As a webmaster and internet entrepreneur myself, I’m very familiar with how this system and business model works as it currently provides the majority of my business earnings.
Contrary to the statement: “There is no political, religious or corporate affiliation.”, whenever an advertiser chooses to advertise through Google, not only are they paying for every click that they receive from the websites that their ads appear on (in this case helpthirst.com) within whatever maximum advertising budget that they have set, Google also take a percentage of the advertiser’s budget per click from what is actually paid to the website hosting the ads. This is Google’s primary business model and where most of their income comes from.
So before I can have 100% faith in the legitimacy and effectiveness of this scheme, I’d need to know the answers to the following questions.
1) Does HelpThirts.com have a relationship with Google outside of the normal Adsense/Adwords schemes that is particular to charitable organisations using this particular method to generate funds?
2) Are Google aware that their Adsense advertising scheme is being used in this way?
3) Does HelpThirts.com generate any profit from this website and can you guarantee that 100% of your earnings through Google Adsense are donated to WorldVision?
I’d be very grateful if these concerns could pleased be addressed.
