"Next week, National Counties will offer a one-year bond paying 5.96% (7.11%) on a minimum £1,000 on the internet or over the phone."

Small but very efficient BS ;)
National Counties offering an internet account

Has the next century crept up on us sooner than we thought ;).

With a one branch operation aiming for national coverage, these muppets should have been the first offering internet accounts - not the last.

Do you have experience of the company enough to trash them as "muppets"?

I've been to AGMs and talked to the directors. Six years on they are starting to implement some of my recommendations.

The admin staff have usually been efficient for me - but this thread has reminded me that I need to chase them up for compensation over an electronic transfer that went AWOL for ten days and over which they lied.

It will be interesting to see how NC's foray into banking sector, with Hampshire Trust, performs. Their timing of the acquisition just in advance of the credit crunch was exquisite ;) and it also went against everything they had been telling members for years about their long term strategy.

I see. What were your recommendations to them six years ago?
