New freephone number for Sky

    With the latest problems, you get the "xx minutes" but in reality it is taking twice as long as that and then you get through to someone useless! :rolleyes:

    In normal circumstances the freephone number would be great I'm sure.

    I used the 0800 number this morning without any problems whatsoever - just press 2, then 4 from the second menu, a nine minute wait, call centre in Scotland.

    Eventually booked a service call for kaput digibox, also for free - threatening to cancel the subscription works wonders... be prepared to sound convincing though, they even get to the point of saying "I'll do that for you now" (cancel the subscription) before offering the free call out. ;)

    If your dodgy digibox is a Panasonic, you might want to read this before you bother with a pointless engineer call out. The fault is with Sky, not the box. If it is a different problem, ignore this post!
