posting a pic please

hi , iam a bit useless with technology ,
i was wondering if anyone can tell me in easy steps how to post a pic on here from photobucket or my pictures thanks

If its on photobucket, you should be able to go into your album and it'll have the url for posting on forums in a box underneath. Assuming its not on your account, its probably better to upload it yourself, as the original user could delete/change the picture. If its just a one-off thing, imageshack is probably the easiest way. You don't need to register an account. Either upload the file from your computer, or click the 'url' box and you can put a url in instead. To get the url, either right click the picture you want > properties, and copy where it says 'address'. Or in firefox, just right click>copy image location.
Then hit upload and it'll give you a couple of links for posting on forums, among other things.

Or register a photobucket account and do the same, upload either from your computer or urls, these will go into your album allowing you to find the same pictures again later if needed.

You seem to be missing part of the code, there. It should end with <filename>.jpg, or another picture type (.gif, .png or .bmp for example).

You've only put a link to your photobucket album/account and not an actual picture. You want to use this code http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/jowalby/dressesjuly08006.jpg I'm guessing. Under the picture it's the code next to where it says "Direct Link".
