Well I do, but not on the front line for a while.
The system will only let the cs guys send out a different model if you've had 3 of the same one go wrong with the same fault. You could try escalating to a team leader and see if you can get them to do something.
The problem is the system simply won't let people do what seems right (which is why I don't work in cs any more).
Good luck0 -
It used to be the case that when you have the same problem 3 times in a row and have had 3 replacements, hey offer you a different model replacement. However, the other models are unlikely to be as good as your spv m700. So you'll have a choice of 2 fones you probably don't want, or anothr m700.
My advice would be, as soon as you get the phone, do a full factory reset (a HARD reset) should be able to find how to do this is the manual. ( a hard reset involves pressing certain buttons when the fone is powering up. Not simply selecting Factory reset in a phone menu).

Is there any way i can get out of the contract because im not really happy with it and to top it off my phone doesnt work!
I signed up for 18 months in november so i have till may
Stupid phone! its not a good one i can take better pics with my niece's toy camera ha ha

No, you will not be able to get out of the contract because you do not like the phone. Even if the phone doesn't work, it won't allow you to break the contract.
The thing most people don't realise about phone cameras is that they do not have optical zoom like most digital cameras. Also, a standard camera with film will often take a better picture than a digital camera as they have better resolution.

Orange Response / Stephb1986:
please can you advise what course of action you will be taking. If it is help which is generally available to all customers, please post as this is useful to all.
Simply posting 'contact me' is not useful in the spirit of a forum.
If you are 'bending the rules' i'd be careful about you facing disciplinary action for gross misconduct.
I'm sure you're providing help as you would to all customers, so please post for all to benefit.
cheers,

Hi there,
As I'm sure you understand everyone's account details are private and specific to that customer. When I can answer a question publicly I do so, but if it's an account specific query I ask to be contacted directly.
This protects the customer’s privacy and also avoids confusion with other forum users. If we can help this customer we will, and will let you know how we get on.
Hope that makes sense,
Susan

Yep, The Data Protection Act covers account specific queries. Therefore if you were to divulge what the custoer's persoal details were, this would apply.
I am simply asking that you detail what you are suggesting as a resolution to the problem.
Simply having a broken M700 and saying that for the customer you will run a diagnostic test and act accordingly is not account specific.
Glad to hear you'll keep the thread updated tho.

Hi Susan I sent you a email the other day I hope you got it

The m700 is the worst phone I have ever had personally and I have had quite a few but never had any problems with any phone.
Hopefully it gets sorted!
Thanks
