When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:

- Try not to use car unless absolutely necessary, want to get to payday on Friday before filling up.

- Shop around online for new carseat for son and hopefully use cashback site too decided to leave til nest month
- Daily clicks hopefully this eve
- Walk everywhere rather than get bus got bus as it rained!
- Walk into town and put up some more of my postcards and pay a cheque in (if it stops raining) Paid cheque in. forgot my postcards..grrrr
- Get hubbie to make a loaf tonight to do
- Do some baking made some cakes, banana loaf tomorrow

Morning All :hello: It's the Glorious Twelth and pouring again. :rolleyes: Perhaps I won't go out with my gun and shoot my feathered friends after all.
Today I have/Will:- piggy clicks, checked banking.
- Think of something to do with the toughest Weetabix cake you can imagine- I think an ingedient was omitted. There surely should be eggs of fat?
Maybe a sort of bread pudding is called for.....
- return some bargain bedding to Lidl (It may have been a bargain, but I don't actually *need* it
)
- Curl up either with my charity bookshop purchases or my new House DVD's this evening and not go out in the rain apart from work & Lidl.

had a nice almost-free night out again last night from the pub quiz winnings and won again so that's next monday paid for too! :j
So far I have- brought in breakfast and lunch
- not spent anything
- checked my banking and cancelled rent Direct Debit
- updated my spreadsheet
- done pig clicks - OH had 4 and I had none
still, 20p!
- written to hsbc to ask for DDs to be switched to smile
- have a no spend day
- get some finance admin done

Today I have;

Got £25 cashback on quidco for pet insurance (towards the xmas fund)
Piggy clicks had a few yesterday but none again today.
Will do:
At least 25 competitions
2 x 30 degree washes (1 includes the school clothes for next term - 1 week left!)
Check online banking (will have to think of something radical because I have maybe pushed the budget a bit too far with the home improvements, weekend away this month) On the brightside I have been planning ahead to the end of the month and have a freezer full of meals and my cupboards aren't in too bad a shape either.

today i will spend a small fortune at the dentist 230 pounds
right a letter of complaint to hilton did not do wrote letter to dca instead

have a NSD apart from dentist did not happen have just been to the pictures to watch mamma mia well worth it but used Natwest 2 for 1 voucher they sent me by mistake I hate them so this is theropy

Morning everyone, back to it after a weekend away with lots of spending money :eek: . Not very DFW but can get back on track now. Hope everyone is well.
Today I will
- check online bank (see if all my weekend transactions have gone out so I can see what's not left lol)
- do clicks / surveys etc
- post 2 ebay parcels
- list a couple of bits on ebay
- plenty of washing at weekend, try to get as much outside as poss weather permitting.
- sort suitcases out and tidy house _pale_
- 10 comps
- get some inspiration for making some more cash and setting a target to save for.

I have had a very stressful morning already so today I think I will relax and enjoy my last couple of days of holiday. So today I will/have:- Banking

- Store cupboard meals

- Make a draught excluder
- Tidy the kitchen after yesterdays batch cooking and baking:eek:

Like Claire I had a painfree visit to the pub last night - drove thus saving £4 in busfares and had drinks bought for me as I was driving folk home...
Today I have:
. Brought in lunch - also made lunch for tomorrow as am out tonight
. Brought in Sunday Mail voucher for bogoff at ASK tonight!
