• Thought I'd give this a go as I've used Photobox for photobooks in the past...

Very frustrating to use! Uploading images took ages - Microsoft Silverlight? Hmmm!

I left some running overnight last night but a lot were corrupting and unusable, and repeated attempts this morning were no better.

At lunchtime today I checked out the Bonusprint "help" page to see if this was a known issue and lost all the (hours and hours worth!) of work I'd put in, without warning, despite the photobook editor saying it was regularly "autosaving".

    Got no "help", either!

Have tried to "reload previously saved project" but it's gone.

I have emailed Bonusprint but fear I may have to start all over again.

    So not impressed so far!
  • I've just posted this on a Photobox thread - didn't know there was a dedicated official thread. :)

Register with Photobox and use the code SUMMER20 to get 40 free prints and 20% off your first order.
This was on an ad on the Telegraph website
    No expiry date given

I'm trying to get the Groupon deal posted in today's newsletter - £30 voucher for £8, but as you have to put in a specific town and there's a different deal for each place I can't find it! There's no way to search for deals on the website - can anyone help?

Hi JoB... someone asked the same on a different thread. I said...

I had a similar problem at first. I wasn't registered on the site so when I clicked on the link I had to register and when I did that it took me to a city specific page. But when I'd registered when I clicked on the link on the MSE page it took me to the Photobox page.

So, the link on MSE takes you straight to the photobox offer but you need to already be logged in for it to take you there. Hope that helps.

Now my question... when you use the offer can you only buy prints or do you have to buy a photobook? The info on MSE and Groupon siggests you can buy prints but the T&Cs on photobox says:

Term and conditions: 1. This offer entitles you to £30 off hard cover photobooks, excluding postage and packaging.

Nothing about prints there (or collages and posters).

And there's another answer there too from Sarah7. I'm not allowed to post links but it's on the 'Quick... Grabbit While You Can' forum.

Anyone got an answer for my question? The information seems contradictory.

Just tried the Photobox deal via the Groupola website and it's not coming up - anyone else found it? D'oh - just seen the above posting - will try again....and will learn to read latest posts on forums. Soz

It worked exactly as last poster said ... register on Groupola, then go back to MSE and click on link.

Naughty MSE for not making it clear but we'll forgive you for highlighting a great deal.

Incidentally I had previously been a member of groupla and had probs with their web site then too. But they do have good deals.

I've found the deal under Norwich.

If I can't use it for photos then I'm getting my money back, as MSE says you can do that if you change your mind.

I bought this Photobox deal back in May from MyCityDeal (fore-runner of Groupon) and as it seemed like such a good deal, I ordered two, paying £9 for each £30 code. Sure enough, the money was debited from my card, but they only sent me one code. I never got any replies to my e-mails complaining about this, so although I'll still save money when I use the code, suddenly the deals stopped looking so attractive and I don't intend to give them any more of my not so valued custom
  • Just an update for you all, you only get 20 free prints on Snapfish now for registering, not 40... Unless there's a code I don't know about?!
  • Does any one know of any offers in relation to developing and printing? Or are there any suggestions in terms of where to go/who to use that is good value & reasonable quality. I'v got 6x36 exp films to deveop. It looks as though digital has taken over the market.

I bought four of these deals yesterday, today I received four emails from GroupOn, but they don't contain any codes. This is what the email contains...

Congratulations! Thanks to your support the "£8 instead of £30 to have those treasured snapshots transformed into collages, prints, posters or your very own personal Photo Book at PhotoBox - Save 73%" was a success!

This time you won't receive your personal voucher by email - it will be sent by other means. You will hear from us soon.

...I'm getting that "suckered" feeling - just hope I'm wrong as I emailed the offer to a bunch of family and pals.

I took a screenshot of the offer page on GroupOn and I'm sure it does say the deal can be used for...
