Totally agreeing on the Vistaprint site- I don't really think it's a site appropriate for moneysavers. There are deals all over the place - looks to me as if they're sofa company style deals - never expiring. They charge you for uploading photos - what? This is odd! They add VAT on top. They charge huge amounts for postage, cheaper amounts being in 3 weeks - 3 WEEKS!? And finally they BOMBARD you with offers pre checkout. So to get to checkout you have to sift through 3 or 4 pages of offers before getting to the result you want.
Oh, and one more point. There was an option after checkout to add an extra calendar - I interpreted this as re-order (I wanted to send to another address) and without a confirmation they added an extra calendar to the original order and didn't ask for confirmation. Not happy with the service or site really, thought you should all know.School is important, but Rugby is importanter.0 -

If anyone wants large prints ds colour labs is so cheap! Good quality too. I was a bit sceptical at first because they are so cheap but its genuine, with really good results.
Only catch is the website is so awkward to use, they should really redesign it! I found a price list the other day I was going to put up but I can't seem to find it now!0 -
I needed to order 400 prints and used this list of freebie prints and postage only to get all of them done. It cost me just over £11. Not bad for 400 prints. The only cost I paid was postage and some of them were free to collect from store.
The Kodak one is actually 40 free at the moment.
If you can be bothered to split up your photos per provider, it really is worth it.0 -
Beware the Vistaprint 50% offer. It promises a whole personalised calendar for £5.99. What it doesn't tell you until you've reached the checkout, and painstakingly selected and cropped all your images, is that in then adds a 99p "upload fee", a minimum £3.08 postage charge (that's for 21 days delivery ,pay more if you actually want it in time for Xmas) and then £1.70 something for Vat, which hey presto takes the price to 2p shy of double the advertised price. More than double the advertised price if you actually want it by Xmas.
I really loathe those kind of cynical tactics. Plus it's short-term; do they really think I'm ever going to use them again??
Can I suggest they're dropped from the MSE site? That's the only reason I went for them, and of course after nearly an hour designing the calendar for my mum, I was hardly going to cancel the order was I? Grrrr.0 -
Completely agree with Peterpiper. Had the same experience.0

Sorry but I have to stand up for Vistaprint here. I had a leaflet in with my Homebase flyer for a calendar for 99P no upload fee. I thought at that price it would be just one photograph for the whole year. But when I went to the site I had to upload 13 pics, 1 for the front cover, I chose dates to be highlighted, such as family birthdays etc. This was on the 6th of Dec and I picked the 21 day delivery and kept my fingers crossed it would arrive for New Year. Well it arrived today, all the way from the Netherlands to the Highlands of Scotland, some companies cant manage that within the UK to this far North. It is of very good quality, for £4.68 a total bargain and I'm sure the Grandparents will love it as it is pictures of my daughter during the last year so :T well done Vistaprint I say and I am recommending them to all my friends0

I ordered on 2nd Dec and also chose the 21 day delivery but mine aren't here yet.:rolleyes:0

I received my 10 free christmas cards today and am pretty disappointed, they are not what I'd call a Christmas Card as they are just a piece of card not a fold in them to stand up. IMO this format is too business like really really to send to friends and family.
I ended up spending over £9 altogether for 20 cards £4.50ish postage, tempted into the 10 envelopes @£2.50ish then £1 VAT that you find out about at the checkout after ages designing your card and then they had an offer for en extra 10 cards for £1.75 at the end that I was sucked into thinking it would bring the average cost of the cards down quite a lot (45p each) so I'm pretty annoyed to find out they are not even proper cards [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]

I ordered 20 cards and ended up paying £6.32 (after they charged £4.20 for postage!)
When the cards arrived I was shocked to find that were not folded cards - only postcards!
When I looked back more closely at the website I did see that the cards were advertised as postcards, but who would expect to receive postcards when ordering Christmas cards? They can't even stand-up!
I would definitely avoid this company in future, they seem to be just setting out to mislead people with special offers and then trying to squeeze as much money out of people as possible!0 -
I have just got 50 free prints from Lidl - visit their website and check it out I think the postage was £1.39. They are similar to Aldi for pricing once you have run out of freebies. This one came to my attention via their weekly newsletter. Like Aldi they are pretty quick on delivery.
To get this deal you have to sign up on their website and look out for their confirmation email which will have a promotiional code, which you then cut and paste for use when to get to the payment stage.0
