Hi bubbs, I've moved your post here so that you can see the picture of one, that might help. It looks like you roll the brown flannel and place into the glass, then roll the white up and just put it on top of the brown one

Excuse me for butting in, but it looks to me like you roll up a white flannel and wind a black one around it lower down ... if that makes any sense at all to anyone but me!

Sort of like a slipped Swiss Roll!
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D

Well I've given it a go, and since I took this pic I've straightened them out a bit too because they were bugging me :o

One's an ale and the other is a pale ale, each one for some serious real ale drinkers :D

Cheers mary (scuse the pun!) I've just changed the lighter one to a darker flannel, I just kept thinking it looked more like lager :o and these guys are serious real ale drinkers

    I used socks in mine

  • I think using socks is a great idea! More practical for men as a gift.
  • I used two pairs of black socks, kind of rolled up and squished in to fill all the space and then had a cream circular sponge for the 'foam' on top of the pint.

Was surprisingly easy and looked so effective. Haven't got any pictures
