I put some frontline on
My female cat is back. She is very superior and is not too sure she is impressed by a stray. However she is also gentle and shown him no aggression. Male cat still off out somewhere. He is the local 'ned' (chav in England?) and likes to see which poor dog, getting its late night 'walkies', he can intimidate.0 -

You could have a look at https://www.mymoggy.com - there is a section for cats found, and you can add a photo. It'll stay on there until you tell them when kitty has found her way to her home for life.0

Thanks Snowyowl, I don't have a digital camera just now, but planning to get one so will upload a photo then.
The cat was still sleeping on the pegs when I got up this morning. He ate breakfast and then chased my male cat upstairs. I shouldn't laugh, but it was really quite funny. My male cat really bullies my female and is always beating her up. This is exactly his regular routine with her... chase her upstairs, beat her up and then sit and glare while she cowers. Today it was his turn. He was shaking by the time I got up and needed a big cuddle to calm him down. Still it does make me wonder if I should let the stray in the house. I don't want to unsettle my cats too much. Any thoughts?0 -
Getting a taste of his own medicine might be just what he needs!! and it will help them sort out the pecking order,so to speak. It sounds as if they will get along in time,i do hope so ,i would let your new visitor in for short, supervised visits. He will only hang around anyway, cats are very persistent!!0

We had a stray cat move in at work once ( a small home for people with learning disabilities.) We couldn't keep it out because one of the people living there keeps his window open all the time, and as it was getting thinner and thinner we had no choice but to feed it.
Turns out the owner had died, and none of the relatives had made any effort to find it a home. None of the cat rescue places would take it, we couldn't keep it because the guys couldn't have afforded the bills if anything had gone wrong, so in the end we persuaded one of the guys relatives to give it a home, but we had it a good few months in the meantime.
The squirrels heads it deposited on the bed were always a joy first thing in the morning, and it turned out to be a she and had kittens shortly after being rehomed - none of the staff had even thought to check that one!
I remember we were all really shocked that we couldn't find anyone to take it in, even when it was starving.
I hope you have better luck finding a place for yours if you need to, Prudent, coz it ain't easy. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
