leaving Talk Talk

I want to leave Talk Talk but all new broadband providers want a BT line. I have spoken to BT who have informed me that it should not be a problem. However all providers tell me that after the BT line is activated you have to wait 5 days before calling to ask to subscribe. I really can't go 5 days without broadband - is there a way around this.

AFAIK the only way round it is cable. To come off LLU onto BT Line you need to wait until the tel. line is active before even ordering BB. Quickest I've known BB go on is 7 days but can take couple of weeks or more. Also if you are in contract with TT then cancellation is £70 or remainder of contract - whichever is lower.
