I'd guess that you borrowed it off a friend. Anyway, it doesn't matter, this is illegal.

I download it form brothersoft.com but didnt realized thats its illegal to ask for the serial number......

There's nothing out there that's quite like CS2, hence they can charge so much to buy it! If you are a student you can get a reduced rate version (with a few less features, but half the price), or you can buy Photoshop7 and then buy the upgrade to CS2 which works out a darn sight cheaper.
