Supermarket Special Offers - Never in Stock!

in my local tesco they never have anything thats on offer they always have plenty of signs for them but never the products, and i have been in store just as it opens and at different times during the day.i think in the last 4 weeks the only offer ive had in tesco is half price celery.

That is strange, because I work for Tesco and the promotion items are the ones that we had to fill each night (I no longer do "fill"). However the amount delivered is decided centrally, the store has very little control. In my old store our department would often have items on offer that we received very little of and others that we were swamped with.

I would say that, in my new role, I have noticed that the "promo" items on fresh food are not selling that fast, so perhaps people do not want a bargain (even when things are reduced (for short date) but that could be frozen)

    I recon you're exaggerating a tad!

With Fresh food offers you're only going to buy it if you plan to eat it before the best date. At least with longer life food you can buy earlier than you generally would, I do this with crisps and baked bean waiting for the 4tins for 99P offers to come round
  • sorry to hear about the trouble u had with asda, i
dont know if your interested but in my local sainsburys they have those razor's on offer at £7.90 ish and you get a free pack of 4 blades. i know its not as cheap to start with but the blades are normally so expensive it might be worth it in the long run.

The store doenst have any control over what they get sent, its all done by HO, they may be able to request more of an item but thats pointless as they get delivereies everyday ther should be another amount on the next delivery
