You beat me to it :rotfl:
And me too!!
It's very simple to do this munch4780.
However ALL customer should have been informed when this lower limit was going to come into force, it will cause me problems when moving funds for all sorts of larger business payments. And also cost business customers more, the more smaller transactions you do, the more fees they will earn from the customer - I've been really happy with LTSB for years, but if this isn't resolved to a higher limit, I'll have to look for another business bank.
What about all the personal customers with linked accounts to internet banks, using the online service to transfer funds - now with a massive cap on transfers? 10K is hardly a fortune to many people today, and those running businesses, it's a derisory amount and lower is a joke.0 -
limit is back to normal now isofa.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

So is everything back to normal now? Need to transfer just under £10,000 tomorrow and if I don't then my house purchase won't complete on Friday!!
Fingers crossed...
Also, can faster payments only be made during office hours? Just tried one there and it set up for tomorrow as a regular BACS via online banking?0 -
So it looks like Lloyds are the first casualty, then? If they had done as Nationwide has, each customer would have a nifty little code generator thingy into which they put their bank card. This adds another layer of security.
What none of the banks address adequately is the wider issue of securing one's log on details, passwords etc, because if you have, say, ten accounts, it is a nightmare keeping all thse details. You're not supposed to write them down or record them anywhere! :rotfl:
I think I've found a reasonably secure method of overcoming the above problem, using encryption etc, but I'm no computer nerd, so I could be far less secure than I think I am. However, I have friends with Internet accounts who are way behind me in this area. There are also those who think they are tech-savvy, and who make up their own security system from 'bits' rather than purchase an overall solution; you can meet those on the Techie Board any day of the week.
Totally agree with everything you've said here. Makes a lot of sense and is spot on.0 -
Well,i just transfered £9,999 from TSB to Egg,so they seem to have gone back to how it was.Still nothing from them telling us anything though.0
