blue screen-fatal error

  • Hi,

My work laptop did this and I'm afraid they had to take the hard drive out and back it up and then send it off to try and be repaired but I have never seen it again.

I don't know too much about tech stuff but I think this is "fatal" sorry.

Blue screens are rarely fatal, they could be caused by any number of things. Simplest explanation is a corrupted file, to fix its just a matter of booting into safe mode or plugging the drive into a spare computer, and repairing a file. Or it could be the result of a piece of hardware thats broken, which is more problematic, but unless its the motherboard, its hardly fatal.
