blue screen-fatal error

Hi,
My work laptop did this and I'm afraid they had to take the hard drive out and back it up and then send it off to try and be repaired but I have never seen it again.
I don't know too much about tech stuff but I think this is "fatal" sorry.[0 -
Blue screens are rarely fatal, they could be caused by any number of things. Simplest explanation is a corrupted file, to fix its just a matter of booting into safe mode or plugging the drive into a spare computer, and repairing a file. Or it could be the result of a piece of hardware thats broken, which is more problematic, but unless its the motherboard, its hardly fatal.0
