flippin' cars  Hope it can get sorted quickly and cheaply.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Car is fixed:D...according to DH:rolleyes:. He crawled under it and shoved the bit that was hanging down back up again, which in his world constitutes it being mended. He reckons it was the air con reservoir thingy and promises that it is firmly back in place. Still getting serviced in the morning, so he's under strict instructions to get them to check it out while it's up on the ramp. Fingers crossed that it actually IS fixed, or maybe just needs a new screw or something simple/cheap.
Had a very naughty day today, we collected an expenses cheque from work for £443, paid it into the bank, and went to Frankie & Benny's and spent the lot. Well, exaggeration there obviously, not the whole lot, but about £25 of it! We're really trying to cut out restaurant visits and take-aways, but I suppose the odd one won't hurt, so long as it is just the odd one and not first of many.
Still raining sporadically, so no tent action yet.
New super-posh kettle arrived today from John Lewis (bought with my Pigsback vouchers). But it's not working properly:mad:, so they're sending another one. Most annoying is the fact that I'd planned to DooYoo it tonight but will have to think of something else instead!0 -

I have given up on pigsback it seems to take ages to get anything with them now. You will have to dooyoo whatever you have for tea if you cant think of anything.

I've not done much on Pigsback either for ages - I've had these vouchers in my purse for over a year but the kettle went, and I decided to treat myself to a super-flash new one. Got a bit of a thing about expensive kitchen appliances.
Not sure whether there's a section of DooYoo for cheese sandwiches, as that's what tea is likely to be! Although it wouldn't surprise me if there was...0 -
Hope the car holds up ..... and pigsback, I suppose in total I've had about £30 from them, including one win (which really surprised me) - I check it out once a month, so that my account stays active, take the single monthly signup, and do the zone thingy competitions, which are getting simpler and simpler. I'm stubborn like that - they've "got" £4 of "my" money
Takeaways - well, you can allow £25 of £400 odd - but the next takeaway has to be earned from something else! You hate me now, don't you ???
THE PICTURES ARE LOVELY! They have a real look about them, too - people are going to think they're twins when they're older. Ahhhhh .... thanks for posting.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Im so glad to see Greg still in sleep suits, I never dress DS properly unless we are going out, my mum complains that he is getting too old for that now and I should dress him every morning.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

Thanks for the badgering there KC! Of course I love you!!!
Lunar, I think sleepsuits are just so much more comfortable for babies than clothes. If I didn't have to leave the house, I'd wear comfy stretchy stuff all day every day so I don't see why the kids should be different! But with Greg, we've pretty much had to keep him in them because of his skin - if any part was exposed he'd be scratching it, and anything except pure cotton seems to irritate. We've just been putting little trousers and tops over the top of the sleepsuits for the past few months, but it's too warm for that now so we just keep him in the all-in-ones unless we're going somewhere special (as if we ever do that). It's SO hard to find decent suits in 18-24m, they're all really pyjama-ish but I've got a few funky bright ones that we use in the daytime. I hate the looks people give us when we're out if he's in blatantly obvious pyjamas, but don't really give a toss, his comfort comes before their ideas about what he should be wearing. I'm really hoping that his skin will be ok for when we go on holiday as I've got loads of lovely little shorts and t-shirts and it would be a shame if he spent the whole time in PJs, but if he needs to then that's what he'll be wearing. Don't let anyone try and bully you into making your little man less comfortable in the name of fashion, not for a good few years yet!0
