Thanks Drifter - good to see you back around. Must see if you've got any updates on your thread.

We went out last night - first time in goodness knows how many, many months. Had a lovely night too with a friend and her husband in the Chinese. £40-odds down the toilet but it was well worth it and only a fraction of what we used to spend on nights out.

Been out in the garden this morning ripping out straggly old shrubs, so I'm knackered now. The hot sun + hungover head + whinging children haven't helped much but I get to escape to work in another couple of hours and I'll have a trainee so I won't need to do anything except look out of the window for 4 hrs.

We got our new Alliance & Leicester cards in the post yesterday, so the account is open and hopefully the £150 for opening it will be on its way sometime in the not too distant future. I can't wait to tell HSBC to shove their account up their hairy one.

Oh, this'll be my 2,000th post - thanks Hypno for pointing that out, I'd never even have noticed either. So I get another star for that? Cool! Any cash prizes?!

Just home from work, which was NOT good. Trainee phoned in sick and it was the busiest day of the year so far, so muggins had to actually do work today at work. At least the time passed quickly, and it quietened down so I did get an hour or two on DooYoo on the company's time. I'm not really that hard done-by I suppose!

DH has just taken Adam to the park for half an hour - it's a beautiful evening here, and Greg's in bed. I should therefore be spending the time doing something constructive like listing on Ebay, but I really can't be bothered. I might have a look around and see if there are any product recalls that I've missed...got a box of free toys yesterday for returning a little bit of plastic.
