Another day written off yesterday to sickness. What is it with me this past few months? Was pretty rough so took the evening off work yesterday and although I feel a bit better today, I've stayed away again just in case as it's a lot of stairs to run down to get to the toilet in an emergency! I'm off the next 3 days anyway, hopefully this is the last of it for a while.

I've made some sort of potential progress with the ebay stuff - a girl I met through Freecycle a little while ago and have kept in touch with came over for coffee the other day and I was telling her about it. She was saying they're skint and in debt too and she needs work but can't afford childcare, so we've come to a sort of rough arrangement where she's going to do some listing for me and I'll go halves with her on profit (which will be roughly 25% of sales after post, fees, cost of goods etc). Should work well as she's really motivated and unlike other listing assistants I've had in the past who were utter pants (except one who has done me some fab listings ;)), this is commission based so I don't have to shell a penny out until something sells. Fingers crossed for a profitable exercise for both of us.

Otherwise all's quiet, apart from the screaming kids. Put the expenses in - £274 - and as the boss is leaving next week he signed them without even looking. Should have claimed more! Finance dept has just moved 100 miles away though so not holding my breath for the cheque to arrive. No response to my ad for ironing/cleaning help yet. Perhaps I should get an ad written in Polish.

Lunar, love your newly updated totals! Must hop over to your diary and see how you've done it. AND I want to clear out my wardrobe a bit. Lots to do considering I'm off work poorly :o .

Oh Panda, you poor thing. You make sure you sleep it off, whatever it is, sounds *very* nasty.

Great idea with the listings done by the other person - I'd be interested to hear about that, a friend of mine has asked me to list in the same sort of way, if she decides to go ahead with craft sales (not ebay stuff).

I'm slogging at the (French) accounts - in denial about all but the simplest tasks, possibly doing one tiny thing a day rather than contemplating a blitz is the way to go .... ah well, nearly over for another year.

    See you later

For anyone thinking about getting someone to do your listings, there is a facility on Ebay called Trading Assistants - I think you find it through the Advanced Search box, and select 'trading assistant' from the left hand side. Problem is that I'm a perfectionist and with just a few exceptions the listings that people did for me weren't good enough. In fact most of them were absolutely awful, so they're still saved to be edited and put on in the future.

Glad you have a motivated listing assistant - some of those you have had in the past have been nothing short of shocking!

I hope you are feeling much better this evening.....x Good luck with finding a cleaner/ironing person!

Would that something be your total lack of interest in the task? That's my something!
