I want to go to the pub to watch the match but have no-one to go with... I REALLY should be studying though. Had to take a break as my mind was starting to turn to gloop. :o Think I might go for a bath....

ETA : So much for going out to study in the park or something, its getting darker here so it looks like rain. Staying at home seems to be the best option.

    Afternoon ladies.

Have just had a quick catch up on the thread as been in town for 4 hours with DS this morning to find clothes for him! cant remember toomuch as still have a blinding headache that I've had since Thursday and no amount of parrots and ibuprofen combi will get rid of  .

Hugs to lilme and hope you have a great birthday next week

Vanilla - glad Bo's improving and due home soon

Sarah - have a great hols and anyone else going away as well

Thats all I can remember - sorry but hugs to everyone else.

Shopping with DS was a nightmare he desperately needed jeans and so many places dont do them in a 28 waist, we tried everywhere cheap shops, expensive shops, M&S, Next and all the usual chain stores. Eventually told him we would have to go to the specialist jeans shop where they are in the region of £50 a pair  . Dead lucky tho as sales assistant found a mish mash pair that fitted him and instead of charging him £50 let him have a 30% discount (think she felt sorry for him), then I found a pair of Ben Sherman in the right size and leg length - but ladies. At first he refused to try them on but when he did they fitted perfectly and the best bit they were only £10 and were on a BOGOF how good was that, he managed to get 3 pairs of jeans for the original price of the first ones. :T :T
I bought loads of bits n pieces and managed to pick up several sets of 3 plastic tubs that were reduced to only 50p a set, so now I can sort out my pasta/rice cupboard and get everything boxed up and easier to find. Found a couple of reasonably priced rucksacks for DD and me to put all our bits n pieces in for the coach trip next Saturday. Also bought a skirt and some undies in Matalan then came home to find they'd send me a birthday card  with £5 of a £30 spend  having just spent £32  . Oh well guess it will come in.

Suppose I better go and do something, see ya all later

    Hiya guys,
Just found your thread recently, saw the lists but as it's sat afternoon, I'm a bit late. How does it work? do you all do this every week? how do I join you?
I am a live-in-carer so main house at work, but OH and DS do nothing in the flat so on the rare occasion that I get there, it's a tip  and have given up moaning at them, but can get round DS some times, especially when he wants something haha:beer:

But now just do it as can't manage to just look and leave it to them:eek:

    Afternoon

Just been catching up with a little bit of the thread.

MOF77 hugest hugs, you are one amazing lady

    MOJT hugs for you

Soappie hi, not caught up with what has happened to you this week yet

Just for the record I am scared of cows!

One wash on the line, kids supposed to be cleaning the car but are just soaking themselves and each other which as they have no clean or dry clothes is not a great idea.

One last bag to unpack and then I need to think about dinner

Hi, I think I have caught up with as many posts as I can read for now. My opticians appointment had to be cancelled yesterday as I couldn't get a lift with anyone.

I know I have just caught the tail end of discussion about counselling. I didn't go when I was recomended to and now regret that I didn't make that step when I first needed to. We all suffered a lot more grief then was necessary because I was so sure I didn't need it and generally made life much more difficult for my family especially my kids.

Because I was terrified of something happening to them I caused DD and DS3 to be far more cautious than they needed to be. The other two were affected in different ways, which I won't go into on here. We got no help from SS either because I was a teacher! What that has to do with things I don't know. I think that because I had managed to look after DH for 6 years when he was ill and four small children and a full time job I didn't need any counselling but I had just coped and put everything away somewhere when in fact at some stage you do need to acknowledge things, grieve, accept counselling. Sorry if that sounds like I am trying to tell you what to do. I know I made so many mistakes. I also know that I still have issues that I need to work on.
I am sorry I haven't mentioned names but I can't remember who said what and can't get things to go back without losing all of this.

My internet went off yesterday so I sat and sorted clothes and watched a really 'weepy' movie.

Today I have done 4 loads of washing
Hung out 4 plus yeserdays jeans wash back out for more of a blow.

I have got 8lbs potatoes from my first lot of lorry tyres. They were earlies and went in a bit late so I hope I will get more form the other tyre stacks.

    Picked some broad beans.

Watered all the indoor plants. I think I will have a bumper crop of cherry tomatoes.

Got rid of a load of toys, games etc to DD for youth club.

    Still to do

    Make jam
    Make banana cake
Prep tonights dinner, freeze fish cakes left over from yesterday.
Make sure I stick to my diet.

    Afternoon ladies!

(((((((((hugs)))))))) for MOF77 & MOJT xx

Well, I'm in the middle of cutting the back grass and what a task it's turning out to be, it's not been done for weeks cause it was never dry enough so it's 2ft high  I'm building up to do the next section lmao. Trying to have a tidy out there too, we've got a big plastic play house stripped and ready to give away and a big slide so they're going to the in-laws tonight for little nephew to play with, so that's gonna make it look better, got a few other bits and pieces and could really do with a trip to the tip *rubs chin*

Not done the full house clean today  it's ok really so I've given myself this weekend off - hurrah....done the dailies and pottered around so I've done something in it at least.

The washing that I hung out on Monday is nearly dry now :D it's been dripping wet for days, so I'll bring that in shortly, I need to go and strip my bed.........will do that later and I may aswell give it a clean and a hoover whilst I'm there

Did I say a weekend off? *tuts*

Dustykitten I am afraid too. My friend was trampled by cows and only just escaped with her life. If you walk through a field of cows with calves, with a dog, they will chase and trample you. It is better to let the dog off the lead and the cows will then chase the dog. My friend tried to protect her dog. The cows are just trying to protect their young.

7 black bags of rubbish to go to the tip
3 black bags of clothes to go to charity shop

and thats only from 1 corner!

So, 3 bags to go to the tip are duvets that DH said get washed... but its almost £20 to get one washed here and I bought them for £10 so it doesn't make much sence really, sorry.

There is still so much junk in my room is's shocking!
