Well it got slightly worse last night
I never even thought to move it, there was a bag of charcoal by the back door ready to be thrown in the bin i found it in a cupboard that had been left by the previous tenant.
He chewed through the bag and spent the night chewing on lumps of charcoal
I tried the hide chews and didnt have much luck he wasnt interested, will definatley try the carrots!

Hello
We have a 10.5week old puppy at the moment (had him since 7.5 weeks old)As for accidents!
We use normal pine disenfectant (Stores own brand) just use enough to cover the areascrub hard with hot water dampend floor cloth! then blot with a tea towel! that should do the trick (works with our beigy sort of coloured carpet! Then again our carpet is hardwearing! with 1 dog 1 puppy and 4 kittens it has to be lol!
On laminated floor we wash it every day with 3part boiling water 1 part bleach and mop it but if its just a little accident we wipe it squirt dettol or the likes and wipe again so its dry and the smells gone
To train to use the garden (our puppy is like 95%trained , he has accidents when he is 'lazy' lol and too tired to use the doggy door (he is german shepard X )
We put him in and out and in and out for like 1 hour straight till he got the point , they we used treats to lure him in and out and when he did go potty out there we praised and praised and gave him a treat , when he was indoors and went potty we ignored him completely and just cleaned it up whilst ignoring him , we dont believe in the hitting/rubbin there nose in it sort of punishment!
Hope that helps!

Avoid anything which goes white it water, like Flash or Dettol. This is because it's chemically very similar to urine and can cause the animal to resoil/mark the area.
With puppies, mop up as much as you can with newspaper etc. Wash the area with a handful of bio washing powder (half a cup 'ish) in a washing up bowl'ish of hot water, let it dry, then spray with white or surgical spirit or white vinegar (test a small area first etc.)Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
If you have a cage keep him in that at night, speeds up toilet training hugely and just take him out every time he gets up.0

i have found that even if the washing powder and water is cold it will still eradicate the smell so i made a small container of it up using a washing powder tablet and kept it under the sink!spanky xx

I've also got a new puppy, an eight and a half week old Schnauzer/Patterdale cross who is beautiful and is getting the hang of house training much quicker than my mini Schnauzer did last year. We still had lots of puppy pee pads left. which Ruby uses at night and bought, last year, a tub of Simple Soloution Oxy Soloution which works wonders. I make up a spray bottle of the soloution to keep handy. When she pee's on the carpet I mop up with very cheap toilet roll, standing on the t roll, to get most of the wet out, and flush the paper, then spray with the oxy soloution and sometimes Febreeze, He poo's are nice and solid (John Burns mini bites) and are again picked up with cheap t roll and flushed. Ruby is put into the garden when she wakes up and at regular intervals during the day, and has access to the conservatory at night where she goes out into the garden. She is learning a lot from Lola who was a nightmare to train as we were very new to doggy ways, Ruby just wants to go out and playi and then sleep and eat more than I could imagine a tiny puppy could ever eat.
Enjoy your pup as they grow even faster than children0
