Becles is totally correct. If you read the small print on clubcards/ads for advantage card points/coupons etc it will say that you can't get points for formula. As someone else has mentioned it only applies to the 1st lot of formula eg SMA Gold/White it doesn't apply to the follow on milk like Progress(unless things have changed recently).
Years ago when I worked in the cash and carry all the formula stopped being allowed to show pictures of babies and mums on them. Have a look thery have pictures of things like toys nowadays.0 -
You can get cow and gate milk from Macro but it works out no cheaper
Once babies on milk after 6 months then I got all my daughters from Boots with advanatge points and xmas night points to bring the cost downMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!0 -
it says on the back of my tesco voucher (points if you spend £50 online) that the £50 spend can't include formula milk.52% tight0

I always keep a few boxes of SMA progress in reserve. I have just gone to place an order on Tesco.com and they have put the price up from 41p a box (has been this price for over a year) to 48p a box since last week!
I've complained, but will be going to Asda in future!

Yes, the SMA progress little boxes, I hope Asda are still only at 41p a box. I've e-mailed Tesco CS, but can't imagine they are bothered! Luckily, my two only have a box now and again - my little boy eats like a sparrow (he's 3.5years) so I give him about 3 boxes a week, just to boost his vitamins! I know I could give him vitamin drops, but they just don't seem to have as many vitamins as the milk. My little girl is 15 months and eats everything in sight so I don't have to worry about her so much!0 -
I breastfeed but i remember getting a coupon from Tescos Baby Club for Hipp Follow On Milk, i think it was somthing like 150 points for buying it, i bought one for my aunts baby.
I do vaguely remember seeing in Tescos last week Hipp Organic boxes of milk 2 for £10. I saw this in the passing but it could just be my over-active imaginationA banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0 -

Bl**dy ridiculous policy.
ermm actually people do..in countries that follow in the International Code (in other words never advertise formul, preferably only have pharmacists provide it) they have breastfeeding rates at least double ours. People fall for the "closer to breastmilk" line sadly. http://www.babyfeedinglawgroup.org.uk/ more info here.
It's totally beyond me why people choose when fully informed (i mean choose, not forced into artificial feeding by lack of good breastfeeding support and bad advice) to feed expensive formula when there's something a billion times better available for free!
Jars are dodgy too, the are still labelled with "4 months" when babies should not have solids until at least 6 months. Jars are such a waste of money. There's also the association now between weaning with bland foods with a junk food diet later.
Wait until baby is ready for solids and they don't even need mush, they can feed themselves proper food (keep eye on salt levels) none of this spoonfeeding, like the rest of the family. There's some guidelines here - http://www.borstvoeding.com/kleintjes/rapley_guidelines.html0
