  • Apart from Egg & frustration over opening times day has been OK. I checked my pay method at work (don't work in payroll but have access to the system) so I know they've changed the bank details already for me. That kind of spurs me on to get the rest sorted as I don't want to make the overdraft worse.

I'm going to have to resort to cancelling some of the DD's and waiting for them to send a letter requesting new DD details as I don't have contact details for them due to not expecting to need to change the DD. Hopefully not for too many of them though.

    How has your day been?

Parsley it sounds as though you are getting on top of things, best of luck with sorting out the rest of the list of DDs and with the bank.

Phone the DMP people if necessary and ask for information - that is what they are there for after all!

OK, sorted Hydro Audible, & TV licence. Looked out paperwork for the life insurance, mortgage and mortgage protection insurance. Couldn't find the house insurance info but by some coincidence paperwork arrived today from them for renewing the insurance so have their details too.

Tried to phone CCCS on the number they gave on my letter but it's only open from 8-5. Should I phone the freephone number? It's open 8-8 but I thought it was only for new people.

Tried to go into online banking to delete the two dds and stop my so to council tax as I'd forgotton to do that one and I'm enquiry only. This is worrying as I don't know how to stop the standing order without going into the bank. I'm not around during their opening times so even with a branch across the road from me it's difficult to get in to see them.

No sign of Solo card yet. Was told it should arrive Thursday. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow. Need to activate it and get a pin number to sort a couple of other dds.

Hey Parsley.... thanx for the other day i took your advice and started saving in my isa for the wedding we have decided to focus on saving and aying just above minimum payment on credit cards so we feel like we are tackling some of the debt.... Hopefully be next year i should have my bank charges back a grand or so maybe so i can put towards wedding if not met the target or if i have i can put it towards a much needed credit card then i can phone and cancel the card so liberating and then boom i feel like il of tacled a big debt... going tp focus on the low intrest rates so that we can clear enough to transfer oh's virgin and halifax on which the intrest is too much the robbing swines :p it just all takes time and patientce which i find hard to grasp.... hehe ..... we are going to work our socks off to save 600 a month and then in 10 month we will have 6k 1.5k more than required as family will be paying about that so if we can do that we can put 1.5 k on a debt very liberating to pay a lump sum like that... anyway best get to bed got a long day tomorrow night night xxx:A

Wow, £600 per month saving. Good luck with that.

Got the DMP confirmation letter today. They've written to all the creditors with repayment proposals.

Still no SOLO card from RBS. Hope there is not a problem with it.

Managed to sign up for the Internet Banking finally. Now awaiting activation code.

Nice one Amy. Love the new sig.

I spent £2 today on food for lunches that should last me 4-6 days. Rolls with cheese. Simple but one of my favourites. Now have £4 to live off until the end of August. Roll on payday when I'll actually have money left to spend for a change. (Should hopefully get cash from DH for food next week, after that I'm independant again and he'll have to get cash from me if I'm willing to give it. Bwaaahahahaha)

Got the solo card, a paying in book and a letter saying that I'm automatically registered for online banking. I didn't need to register myself at all but at least the number is the same so I'm not registered twice.

Feels good but now I have to activate the card which arrived after the bank closed today so can't do it until Monday at the earliest. Have to pop a slip into the bank and then they send me my pin number and I'm all set.

    Yippeee!!

    Been busy today,

    Sky Repair plan sorted
Sky sorted (online, didn't know I could do that)
Buildings and Contents sorted (I think. They couldn't change the details immediately as it's being renewed just now so he said he'd have to change them once the renewal was complete. Hopefully he'll remember)

    Left to do

    Lottery
    Income protection
    Mortgage
    Mortgage PP
    Life insurance
    Internet
    Council Tax
Set up Paypal on new account. Need to get some money in first so they can do their deduct/recredit.

    Half way there!!!

Also lost 2lbs this week so happy with that too.

Setting up a DMP folder for all the paperwork so I don't miss anything. Going to phone for a Standing Order form as I'd prefer that to a Direct Debit.

Sounds as though you are getting everything sorted - hmm could be worth phoning the insurance chap back in a couple of weeks just to confirm the changes have gone through - other than that serious :j:j:j:j:j:j:j for all you have achieved
